Absolutely stunning hidden gem of tranquility

Warmstall Farm
What can I say? This to me is exactly what a CL should be. A perfect tranquil escape with the essential facilities (water and waste), lots of open space, park where you like, lovely views and absolute peace and quiet. For years we have toured all over Europe and its twelve years since we did a south west tour. I forgot how busy it can get and this is early June! So to come back after a day out on the scooter to this lovely little hideaway is simply bliss. We booked on for three nights initially (still here as I write this) but will be staying on for sure. Only us here which on the one side is great for us but its a shame others have not discovered this spot. Its pretty much wild camping in a lovely field just off the lane but without the worry of being moved on or being hemmed in by other vans. We are in a motorhome and as said carry a scooter on the back and its ideal for that but even if you don't have secondary transport there are walks from the CL and you could easily walk or cycle to the beach at Seatown crossing only one busy road down the narrow lanes to the beach two miles away which is a delightful little place. Fantastic walks along the cliffs including the highest point on the entire south coast, The Golden Cap. Water at the top of the field, waste at the bottom discreetly in the corner. As others have said the final quarter of a mile or so of lane up to the CL is narrow. However its perfectly passable and the chances of you meeting something coming the other way is very very slim I would say and certainly not something big. Ours is a 7.5 metre Kontiki coachbuilt.

Escape from it all!

Warmstall Farm
I loved this very peaceful CL. The views and walks were fantastic. The approach road was quite narrow and the grass was not that short but the dogs had fun running free in the surrounding fields. The toilet emptying site was rather primitive but adequate ....would be better if there was a tap sited there. Other than that...really enjoyed my stay and the owners were very friendly and welcoming...would return .

The Great Escape!

Warmstall Farm
We stayed at Warmstall Farm for eight days in June and it was wonderful. Yes, the facilities are limited (and a water supply by the waste place would be a bonus) but it is fabulously quiet and peaceful and set in absolutely stunning countryside with plenty of opportunities for walking - the site itself is right beside The Monarch's Way footpath and Seatown and Golden Cap, as well as Chideock, are within an hour or so on foot. The access lane is narrow but we did not find that a problem, the site level and firm enough and the grass well kept without looking too manicured - and there were loads of butterflies and birds about. Mr & Mrs Lyall, the owners, were warm and welcoming; friendly and informative but also unobtrusive. Many thanks to them for allowing us to stay at their site; it was a great place to rest and recharge ourselves.

Beautiful, tranquil, simple

Warmstall Farm
This is one of those sites that you hope no-one else will find - but having said that it deserves a glowing review.  Facilities are not everything for sure and even in a small van with no fixed loo and shower, we so enjoyed this back to nature site. With water and a discreet chemical disposal point, we needed no other 'mod cons'.  It was blowing a hooley and if we had been in a coastal site we would have been worrying about the awning, etc. As it was this site is nestled in between hills, sheltered by mature trees and not a sign of civilisation in sight!  The views are lovely and I must admit we just 'blobbed' and enjoyed the tranquility for 48 hours.  It was easy to find - just 1.5 miles from the main A35 and the area is well served with pubs and places to explore (although we didn't!).
