Sturminster Newton Certificated Locations

Sturminster Newton is a delightful village set in the beautiful Blackmore Vale, with a market dating back to the 12th century.

Based on the banks of the winding river Stour, it lies just outside the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding natural beauty, making it a great place for walkers.

The riverside also offers some fine, leisurely walks, while Sturminster Newton Mill is well worth a visit. Mentioned in the Domesday Book, it is still working today.

Sturminster Newton also contains a museum tracking the history of the village, as well as that of Sturminster Castle, a ruin near the village. There is also a ruined abbey.
