Battle Certificated Locations

The small town of Battle has played a key part in Britain history and was the site of the epic 1066 Battle of Hastings.

Nowadays, the Sussex town is a more relaxed affair, but evidence of its historic past is clearly evident with Battle Abbey. This impressive structure was built by William the Conqueror to mark the loss of life suffered by the fight and visitors can wander the battlefield and enjoy interactive tours.

Battle also holds many events throughout the year, including a reenactment of the 1066 event as well as a festival of culture in October to celebrate the arts.
