Lovely stay

Lower Cockden Farm
Just stayed overnight . Lovely site very peaceful And the owners were lovely people. I was gong to the football at Turf Moor .My friends were.staying in a Travelodge. I opted to take my motorhome and the site was perfect . 10/15 mins walk to the bus stop and 15 mins into Burnley. I was allowed to checkout at 3pm as well. Ideal stop to see local attractions.

Lovely site

Lower Cockden Farm
A Working weekend away for us we just needed a convenient, no hassle place to stay so this site was perfect for us with the owners being exceptionally friendly and helpful. It is a cosy yet easy site (no tight manoeuvring spots). The whole area is well kept and a pretty location, access is via a secure gate, it has a single toilet, washing area with plenty of hot water and recycling area for your rubbish. The site is fairly level although you may want to use ramps for final adjustment. You can walk up the lane to the local pub although we didn’t actually go in as they weren’t serving food until 12th June (so the notice board said). I would be happy to recommend this site as a good one and thank the owners for all their help over the weekend.

Peaceful Bank Holiday Break

Lower Cockden Farm
We used this CL over the late May BH and it is a quiet and peaceful oasis in what is quite a built up and busy area. The entrance / exit needs care with a long unit and some of the pitches are sloping, they are however hardstanding and also have a tap and drain each. The owner also kindly provided a section of pipes to enable us to use the drain for our waste water. There is a clean toilet and washing up sink. The site has an electric gate for added security and you will need a £10 deposit for the fob to open the gate. The owners Mr&Mrs Head were very friendly and provide lots of information on things to do and walks in the area. You can access lots of footpaths directly from the site, good for dog walks although there were cattle in some of the fields. We walked up to the Hare & Hounds pub, (care is needed on the road as there isn't a footoath) which now does 2 meals for £14, and a sekction of real ales. We visited Haworth, and Hardcastle Crags and of course Pendle Hill all of which are only a short drive away. This is a very pleasant CL the only negative being there were 6 vans/motorhomes on site and another being stored onsite while we were there, although this didn't impact on our stay and we thought the CL was good value at £14 and would use it again when visiting the area.

One of the Best

Lower Cockden Farm
Have just returned home from lower Cockden and all we can say is perfect... the Easter weather did help but all the pitches are hard standing and of a generous size. Water and drainage on each pitch and an immaculate unisex toilet and pot washing area. Owners were so welcoming and extremely friendly... came out to watch you onto pitch if read.... nothing too much trouble... one that we will remember for a long time...we will definitely return

Pleasant & Value for Money

Lower Cockden Farm
Just got back from two night stay at this site. Fully serviced pitch and a nice clean toilet on site. Peaceful and lots of walks from the site and lovely scernery. Owners very welcoming and helpful with information on the area and the local pubs. We walked to the Hare & Hounds which was just up the road. Although no meals are served at the moment the locals informed us they where interviewing a chef. We will definitely call here again. 👍
