Why stay here ...

Dale View is a quiet, adult only site located adjacent to a peaceful coarse fishing lake. Set at the foot of Beacon Fell Country Park in the Forest of Bowland, the site is situated within an area of outstanding natural beauty. Campers can also enjoy glorious views of the nearby Bleasdale Fells. All pitches are hard standing and each pitch has an electric hook up, a drinking water tap and grey water drain and plenty of space for awnings. Dogs are welcome on site.

The site is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding stretch of beautiful unspoilt countryside. The nearby fells and the River Brock have an abundance of wildlife for all to enjoy. This area is a haven for walkers, cyclists and explorers with plenty of scenic walking routes and numerous villages within driving distance to discover. The small market town of Garstang has a variety of supermarkets and shopping facilities to offer. The historic town of Lancaster and seaside town of Blackpool are also within driving distance and offer visitors a whole host of attractions to suit all tastes.

A site with a view!

Just returned from three nights on this absolute gem of a site having been warmly welcomed by Helen on our arrival. As noted in most reviews the site has wonderful views of the fells... when it's not raining... For most of our stay it did rain but it did relent on our last night only to be replaced snow instead! John came over in the morning to check we were OK and to let us know that the local lanes were all passable if a little wet and slushy - it was a reassuring touch. It's clear this site is owned by members - well laid out, good sized hardstanding pitches each with its own water supply and grey water waste drain. For £14 this is great value for money! The directions to the site are also spot on and well worth following as many of the local lanes can be a little tight and there a couple of hump backed bridges we went over from around Garstang which would be too sharp for a car and caravan... Of the local towns and villages, we enjoyed Chipping although it was out of season and Clitheroe which offered a lot of interesting and individual shops as well as a castle and plenty of decent places to eat. This was our first time here but it certainly won't be our last visit - I suspect availability may be a challenge in the warmer months... It's worth pointing out that any mobile signal is intermittent and we struggled to get decent TV reception but these are hardly show stoppers and won't stop us returning. Many thanks Helen & John!

Lovely Visit

We have just spent the weekend at Dale View and thoroughly enjoyed it, most friendly welcome off Helen the owner, easy access to Beacon Fell and good area for cycling, lovely views from our pitch, no nearby pubs or shops so if you want to get away from it all this is the site.

The little GEM revisited.

We came to this lovely site last year and here we are again. Still the warm welcome. Just a shower or two of rain this time but it didn't spoil our visit. Would we come again! You bet!
