What a gem

Lansing
Lets get a couple of negatives out of the way first.....firstly this chap is quite difficult to get hold of...I tried 5 or 6 times over a few days before I managed to get hold of him to book, there's only a land line number on the page so I guess you have to catch him when he's in......secondly if you require a internet G connection then forget it (we are on EE) ....its virtually none existent (might be perfect for some).....and lastly there is a bit of road noise from the A16. But....the above slight niggles are blown away when you see the site,,,,what an absolute gem. The site owner greeted us with a very friendly welcome on arrival and showed us to our pitch...well our field as we had the place to ourselves. There's a couple of what look like seasonal pitched vans on a separated part from the CL which share you services with as you go through. The field itself is beautiful, mainly flat, a babbling stream winds and twist down one side, there's a pond/small lake along the bottom with an abundance of mature trees and hedge rows and nature to finish it off. On an evening we sat watching kingfisher's catching their tea on the pond from our caravan window! The field is totally private....you can't see anything from the field...only mother nature. The pictures on the CAMC site really don't do this place justice. We don't like CL's where you are lined up on hard standing pitched where you can over hear the conversation it the next van....this site just ticked all our boxes. Location wise this site is perfect for exploring the stunning Lincolnshire Wolds with very easy access from the A16. Bang across the road there is a nature reserve....and I mean bang across the road, the entrances line up... perfect for letting the dogs have a run (there's also a signal on there so I was able to touch base with work while walking the dogs) Its just 8 mile into the market town of Louth and just over 10 mile on to the coast at Mablethorpe. Not only am I a caravanner I'm also a CL site owner myself...off grid same as this one but I'd swap him in a heartbeat if I could...it really is that nice. So if you can't get hold of him, stick with it as its certainly worth it.....don't let the road noise put ya off...its there but not over powering but I need to mention it...it was raining while we were there so road noise if always higher from a wet road...I'm gonna stick a 4g aerial on the roof of the van and try again ( I need to stay in touch with work....even when away...sad I know) Sadly I was taken ill so we had to leave a day early so we will certainly be back to explore more of this beautiful part of our country.
