Why stay here ...

CL of the Year 2011 - 1st Place

We look forward to welcoming you to our CL and to the 2014 season - we open on 1st April 2014.

Walnut Lakes  and Daisy Lake are set in the heart of beautifull Lincolnshire countryside within walking distance to the garage shop and local Little Chef restaurant.

We are 5 mile from both Boston and Spalding.

Spalding is home to the world famous Tulip Parade held in May each year.

Skegness is just 26 mile and there are lots of local attractions just a short drive from the park.

Bird watching at the RSPB is close by and there are plenty of local lanes to cycle on.

The local village of Sutterton has two shops, two public houses and a very good award winning restaurant. There is also a Farm shop, Post Office and Chip Shop and a caravan service and sales centre.

There is a good bus service every half hour to Boston and Spalding from the village.

Showers and toilets available.

Fishing lakes are stocked with Carp, Bream and Rudd. Don't forget to bring your fishing licences with you.

Easy access

Walnut Lakes CL
Easy access to site just off A17. Access to cl through small commercial site. Site well maintained with toilet block. Unfortunately cl site was double booked on our arrival (booked February) and although spaces available on hard standing we were directed to grass pitch which we were advised was wet. Not ideal as when it was time to leave it was difficult to tow off site. Total of 11 caravans on cl over weekend we stayed. Also to be aware the nightly site fee is now £24 per night plus charge for metered electricity.

A17 stop

Walnut Lakes CL
Pulled into Walnut Lakes on my way south towards Norfolk, as needed a break. What a lovely site. Easy access on the left just after the A16 cross road roundabout. Could not have wished for better. Spotless toilet and pot washing in 2 log cabins. Two lakes for fishermen. Take your rod. Lady owner very helpful and took me to my pitch and checked I was OK as a solo traveller. Would not hesitate to stay here again. There was a little road noise from the A17 but that did not bother me. There were other pitches further away from the road. Beautifully kept site.

One of the best CL’s we have visited in 30 years

Walnut Lakes CL
What a great site, access was easy with plenty of turning circle when you come of the A17, yes there is road noise however, this is offset by the easy access to places to visit, to be honest it’s easy to block the road noise out when you’re relaxing or fishing around the 2 lakes on-site. Extremely level pitches, we’re in a Motorhome so often need levelling blocks, but not here. Very warm welcome from Maria and Tony, very helpful and friendly. Really good showers in individual washrooms with loo and sink and easily accessible for disabled access, and there is even a washing machine should you need it. Yes electricity is metered, we stayed for 5 nights and cost us £6.50 so even with that on £17 nightly fee it still falls below £20 per night, great value. Fishing was also excellent with quality fish including carp, roach, bream and golden orf largest fish caught was a 15lb carp so all good. Dog walk on site separated by fir hedge and a Christmas tree farm, the walk was kept well cut which was the same as the pitches and the dog walk went all around the site , so even our choccie lab Bella was happy. We enjoyed a very peaceful five days here, and couldn’t understand why they weren’t fully occupied, we could only think that people are put off by the road noise, but don’t be, it truly didn’t detract from a very relaxing stay, so please try it and see!

Lovely setting but close to main roads

Walnut Lakes CL
A nice caravan and Motorhome site. Beautiful setting around a couple of small fishing lakes (bring your rod). Price £17/night. Nice gravel hardstanding with grass either side. Electric hookup available at £1/card. We used one card over two days using our own gas for cooking and heating. WiFi not available when we were there, we were told it is normally but currently broken. Showers and toilets closed due to Covid so not comment about those. Given 4 rather than 5 stars as it's very close to main cross road so some traffic noise, also feels a little hemmed in with major roads nearby. There was no recycling on site, everything going into general waste, which seems bit wrong these days. Overall, a nice place and very relaxing with good views

Good site

Walnut Lakes CL
We recently stopped over for one night to break a long journey. The site is well laid out around two small lakes. We had a quiet night and navigation around the site is good. The shower and toilet facilities are spotless. The hard standing pitches are well spaced. Strangely though, there are many more pitches than five but there was only five caravans sited whilst we were there. The whole area could probably take a dozen or more caravans and the pitches are ready with electric. So not sure what's going there. We turned into the site and followed instruction to keep left. Don't do this. You need to keep right towards the red and white striped barrier. We were able to back up with no problem but you would struggle if there was another caravan behind you. Interestingly we had to purchase electricity cards at one pound each which is not mentioned in the write up about the site. This could be costly if running TV or hairdryers and if you are there for a number of nights. We spent 3 pounds running only a TV and hairdryer once. No change given. You kindly give a donation to the next person on the pitch!
