Why stay here ...

Site run by Sue Masterman. Beechcroft is a peaceful acre and a half caravan site. It is level with lawned pitches and 5 electric hook ups. The site also has very limited hardstanding for the winter during severe weather conditions. It is set on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds (an area of outstanding natural beauty). Beechcroft is surrounded by farmland and fields with Osgodby plantation (Forestry commission woodlands) opposite. The woodlands contain native broad leaved trees, corsican pine and heathland and is good for dog walking. The 10 acre café is adjacent to Beechcroft and provides good food Monday to Saturday. The café won an east Lincolnshire award for it's food recently. There are also many walks, fishing, and horseriding close by.

The small and pleasant town of Market Rasen is about 2 miles away and the racecourse is just out of town. The Historic city of Lincoln with it's famous castle, cathedral and ancient buildings is 18 miles away Gainsborough is 19 miles and a trip through the Wolds takes you to the Lincolnshire coast (Sutton by sea, Mablethorpe, Cleethorpes ). There are many pretty small towns and villages, Caister, Tealby, etc with a good selection of pubs, restaurants, and take aways. There are also many ancient churches and buildings for those who like architecture.

This is a safe and secure site (the caravan area being enclosed by fencing) with recycle facilities and waste disposal for motorhomes on site.

Lovely large field in tranquil setting

Beechcroft
Lovely large field on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wold. Lots of fantastic walking and cycling from the CL and roughly 2 miles into Market Rasen where there is a big Tesco and lots of coffee shops. Access is easy (we have a large 8.2m motorhome), although a few lower hanging branches for bigger vehicles. We will be back for a bit more exploring of the area - thank you.

Relaxed and home from home

Beechcroft
Stayed April 2021. I chose this site for my first motorhome adventure as it is close to home, just a 15 minute drive for my dogs to get used to the "caravan" moving and 3 nights for me to decide where everything would go. The site is a large relatively flat field, plenty of room between units with easy access to water and electric if required The best thing for me is the very large grass field behind the site where my dogs could have a good run first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Sue the owner is very friendly but not obtrusive at all. Living close by and being a walker I am very familiar with the area. Osgodby woods is one of my favourites, it is Woodland trust so is managed with lots of trails and a beautifully hidden picnic area. 2.5 miles away there is a Farm Shop and Tea Room. Although you do have to cross the A46 this can be reach on foot by mainly woodland trails. Just beyond this is Willingham Woods. Part of Forestry England this is a very large area with lots of trails and facilities. There are a good sprinkling of small interesting towns to visit, Market Rasen, Caistor, Brigg, Louth and of course Lincoln is no more than 30 minutes away as is the coast. But for me it is all about the tranquility and woodland right on the doorstep. If I could package this site up and store it in my van ready for the next trip, I most certainly would!

Peaceful retreat

Beechcroft
Stayed here for 3 nights July 2018. Large field, nicely cut. Plenty of room. Not in view from the road and access is by gates opened with a code so very secure. Friendly welcome from the owners. Very peaceful and relaxing. Recommended.
