View and BookRomany Meadow is a small and friendly family run campsite situated in the beautiful Norfolk countryside in the rural district of South Norfolk and is set within 2 acres of our 7-acre holding.
We run a neat, bespoke and relaxed, dog friendly site that is perfectly placed to base yourself whilst exploring this wonderful county. We provide lots of room to spend time relaxing and lots of space for children to play as well as providing seating areas, a good size fire pit for relaxing around in the evening and BBQ areas. Our site has an onsite supply of running water, individual well-spaced plots, toilet waste facilities and a dedicated area for the dogs to run around.
Romany Meadow is conveniently placed near many attractive and interesting market towns such as Attleborough and Wymondham and many pretty and historic villages such as New Buckenham and Caston.
New Buckenham is the nearest village to us and has a small convenient food shop, the Kings Head pub that serves lovely meals and traditional ales as well as many historic buildings, including the remains of a Norman Mott and Bailey castle. There are numerous public footpath routes that weave their way through the amazing and peaceful countryside and beautiful country lanes to walk or cycle through and explore.
The nearest historic market town to us is Attleborough which has a history dating back to the Anglo-Saxon times, and has a fine example of a medieval church and a Norman tower as well as many shops, pubs and cafés.
Only a 35 minute drive from Romany meadow is Norwich, the heart of Norfolk and one of the most historic and beautiful cities in the country. As well as the many shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs, Norwich has its famous outdoor market, (the largest in the country), historic Elm hill, the famous Jarrold department store, and an amazing Norman castle and two cathedrals, making it one of the must go places for all the family.
Other attractions near us are Banham Zoo, Thetford Forest, Bressingham Steam experience, Norfolk Tank Museum, Melsop Park Farm and Knettisham Heath country park.
If you want to explore a little further afield, the famous Norfolk Broads are approximately 45 minutes away or the beautiful seaside towns of Caister or Hembsy (a good starting point to explore the coastline) are around an hour’s drive. We are also only 1 hours drive from the famous seaside town of Southwold which is one of the most quintessential coastal towns in the country.
With so much to see and do, this beautiful area of Norfolk is an ideal place to explore, whether it’s walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, bird watching, golfing or sight-seeing, and has something that will suit all tastes.
We are very happy to help with any enquiries you may have so please do get in touch if you require any further information or special arrangements. Come and enjoy the beautiful county of Norfolk and we look forwards to seeing you soon...
