Why stay here ...

A beautiful south facing site with open countryside views located in the heart of Norfolk on the edge of a unique Conservation village and 500 metres from 2021 Pub of the Year (Great Pub Awards).

Whether you are looking for somewhere to completely relax and unwind with an occasional stroll to the Brisley Bell (also awarded Best Pub Garden 2021), or for a central base to explore the delights of Norfolk, or to indulge in walking and biking then this site has it all. With a vast network of fabulous footpaths accessible directly from the site and only 50 yards from national bike route 13 and a bus stop, the opportunities are endless.

Decide whether to head north, south, east or west to find glorious beaches, charming coastal villages, nature reserves, the fine city of Norwich, market towns galore, historic houses, ancient castles, The Broads. Not forgetting gastronomes, there is a mouth-watering selection of award-winning farm shops & delis, breweries and distilleries.

In addition to the Bell there is a choice of excellent eateries. Breakfasts, brunch, lunch or cakes are served at the artisan food producer and café, The Old Dairy (0.5 miles), and the popular Tea Post, Elmham (2.5 miles). Foodie pubs with gardens ,The Railway Arms and The Kings Head, are both in Elmham (2.5 miles) or for wonderful authentic eat-in or take-away Thai food don’t miss The New Inn, (Beetley, 3.2 miles) along with 2 local fish and chip shops including freshly baked pizzas.

With 5 grass pitches nestled alongside pasture land surrounded by mature native hedging, sheep and lambs are often grazing nearby. Off road, well-maintained footpaths surround the site, with exclusive access to a small woodland. The secure and private site is free draining, slightly sloping, offering an EHU and water on each pitch with ample room for an awning. The communal service points are situated conveniently close alongside the facilities in the traditionally built barn.

Mileham Village Stores and Off Licence (2.8 miles) stocks nearly everything you could possibly need whilst the traditional Market towns of Fakenham (Thursdays, 6 miles), Dereham (Tues and Fri, 7 miles) and Swaffham (Saturdays, 12 miles) offer more extensive shopping opportunities.

Dogs are welcome, (also at the Brisley Bell) and will be spoilt for choice for walks, whether enjoying the local footpaths, quiet roads, the vast open-access Common or the glorious walks on the Amenity Land in the village, all readily accessible. The ‘to be kept on a lead at all times’ rule will apply to comply with local laws and livestock nearby.

4G and TV signals excellent.

We look forward to welcoming those already booked in for a return stay and to welcoming new visitors. Advance booking is required.

Lovely Site

Brisley Hall Farm
Just spent 9 nights on this lovely site. Access good and feels secure as you drive between horse pastures, through a gate and onto the site at the rear of the property. Owners are welcoming and friendly and often about if you need anything but not intrusive. Any local events updated on the notice board and lots of info and menus for local walks and eateries etc. Lovely permissive footpath walks direct from site and perfect for walking dogs. A nice little area for an early morning/late night pee (for dogs obviously) without having to let them toilet on pitches. We didnt venture too far walking as both myself and dog were struggling. Having said that, we did manage to 'limp' to the local pub 'The Bell'. If you want to eat, you need to book in plenty of time, but the beer garden and outside area were lovely (best beer garden we have been to). The Old Dairy which is walkable but a bit rough going in places apparently (hubby tested it out) so we drove but worth the effort of getting the car out. We had lunch and breakfast there on seperate days. The rear garden area is great, with planters between tables so you feel nice and private so great for dogs. Hubby went to watch the cricket in the village another day. The site itself is well kept with toilet and shower basic but spotless (remember to take paper towels which are just outside toilet, in with you so you can dry hands before exiting. Pitches are not huge but adequate room for car, caravan and awning. Nice touch is the fridge freezer for use by everyone. Fresh eggs and icecreams available with honesty box. Overall a very peaceful and well kept site with uninterupted views over the fields and definitely worth a visit. Met some lovely people on site. Everyone was respectful of others but friendly. My advice, get it booked!

If you only ever stay at one CL make sure it is this one!!

Brisley Hall Farm
I never write reviews but after staying here for four days I simply had to! Wonderful site with views to die for and excellent facilities. Neville and Sally made us feel extremely welcome and were friendly and engaging. This is a CL that could teach many club sites a lesson. Perfectly prepared level grass pitches each with water hook up and spotless toilet and shower facilities. This should surely be a contender for CL of the year! We will definitely be back many times! Total relaxation in the countryside-perfect.

Stayed at Easter and found it to be a clean, neat site with lovely views and very friendly. Brisley Bell a wonderful pub and there were some lovely walks from the site. All facilities totally spotless and the Magnum ice creams in the freezer were much appreciated after a 14 mile walk! Loved it.

I have never left a review before but this site was so good I just had to put pen to paper as it were. The location was beautiful, the facilities superb and the owners, Sally and Neville, were brilliant - there if needed but unobtrusive. We loved the fresh eggs laid by their 'rescued ladies' and highly recommend this site.

Beautiful Brisley

Brisley Hall Farm
This was our second stay here, this time just one night at short notice. Booking was easy and the welcome was as pleasant as the first. Sally and Neville are terrific hosts and the site is clean, well maintained and of a good standard. Lovely local walking and cycling routes, with good eating and drinking venues nearby. Well situated for North Norfolk coast and inland. Will be visiting again.
