Northampton is in the East Midlands of England and lies on the banks of the River Nene. As one of the largest towns of the UK, it has plenty to offer visitors.
The market square dates back to 1235 and remains the site of a regular market, complete with local produce. There are also two more shopping centres in the centre, with a mix of smaller boutiques and larger chain stores.
One of the highlights in the town is the Billing Aquadrome. This comprehensive leisure park has a funfair, marina, bar and restaurant plus a working water mill.
Northampton also has a busy calendar of events throughout the year, including the Northampton Carnival, Dragonboat Race and a beer festival.
