Lovely site
The Limes
We absolutely loved this site, already booked to return. Plenty of room on the pitch. Beautiful walks adjacent to the site and nearby to canal footpaths. Warm welcome from George , lots of local knowledge. Train line is a couple of fields away but didn’t bother us at all and isn’t an issue.

Great place to stay to visit Northampton
The Limes
Had a lovely welcome from George the site warden, who showed us options of where we could pitch. The site is large and deliberately left to nature, with some areas where the grass is cut, to pitch. The price includes electricity, so is very good value for money. There is easy access by car to Northampton, and its a short walk through a meadow to The Walnut Tree Inn in Blisworth, which serves lovely food. I believe there is also another pub in Gayton
Now that trains are back on schedule there is some train noise, but we didn't find it too disturbing.
The approach roads to the site involve some narrow blind bridges, but the road traffic isn't too bad.
Enjoyed staying there and intend returning.

The Limes
We spent 5 nights at The Limes. As we have an 8ft wide caravan we phoned beforehand to check access. George couldn't have been more helpful and opened up a secondary access gate for us. George led us through to our pitch, down a tree-lined lane and the pitches are arranged so it feels very private. We were vaguely aware of the odd train passing, but nothing to disturb our stay or sleep. George is a huge asset to The Limes! He checks back to make sure you're pitched okay and gives good local knowledge for walks and places to eat, with a cheeky smile and banter thrown in for good measure. We had a fab stay and won't hesitate to return.
Darling little site
The Limes
Lovely site, v secluded, lots of wildlife to watch and the pitches feel v private from each other. Some train noise as others have said but we didn't find it intrusive.
Nearest pub in Gayton looks perm closed. The Greyhound pub and local shop in the opp direction are walkable (<2miles away), but the shop isn't especially well stocked - no eggs, cheese, papers etc the Sat we stopped by for supplies.
Super close to the canal and a great base for walking and cycling through this lovely county.

The Limes
We’d just picked up our caravan and wanted to see if everything worked. This site was roughly half way between our home & the dealership, ideal in case things went wrong!
The site was easy to find and access was OK along the country lanes. The owner was very friendly & very welcoming, helped us to get set up and helpfully answered our newbie caravan pitching questions without complaint. The only criticism - and I’m probably being picky - is that we’d asked for a hardstanding pitch and were pitched on quite a soft patch of stone/ballast, but that worked for us as we could drive straight on/off. There was some noise from the railway, as other reviews had said, but that didn’t bother us. The site was basic, but, we didn’t want/need anything more as we wanted to be self-sufficient, so, was exactly what we wanted.
Overall, it was an enjoyable stay.
There are some nice walks along the nearby canal tow paths.
