View and BookLudstone Caravan Park and Fishery is located within the grounds of the Ludstone Hall Estate which is situated just outside of the local village of Claverley and around 5 miles from the historic market town of Bridgnorth.
Great family days out can be had locally, within Bridgnorth you can visit local shops and take a trip up the Cliff Railway, which is the steepest and only inland railway of its type in England, then book yourselves onto the Severn Valley Railway and visit other Historic Towns such as Highley, Arley, Bewdley and others within Shropshire.
Each summer RAF Cosford host an Air Show which showcases all things aviation for spectators to enjoy. Historic aircrafts such as Spitfires and Hurricanes have made regular appearances at the Airshow. We are only 10 miles from RAF Cosford which is open throughout the year to display the fantastic aircraft they have in their museum’s.
Other interesting destinations would be Dudmaston Hall and Comer Woods (Great for Dog Walkers!), Ironbridge Village and Gorge home to the world’s first iron bridge and also the beautiful market town of Shrewsbury.
Locally you will find some outstanding pubs and restaurants. Halfpenny Green Vineyard in Bobbington is around 4 miles from Ludstone, great for any wine lovers! The Royle in Bridgnorth is one of the most popular pub restaurant around with incredible food and drinks, friendly staff and great prices. The Hundred House in Norton and The Pheasant at Neenton are both fantastic restaurants which are around a 15-20 minute car journey from Ludstone! Apley Farm caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a superb Farm Shop with fresh produce sourced from their very own farm!
On site there are water and waste facilities. Dogs are welcome and Families are invited to enjoy the fantastic walks around Claverley and into the Shropshire Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. We also have fishing facilities, this is at a cost of £10 per rod per day. All fish must be placed back into the water, please ensure any lines or rods do not cause any harm or obstruction to wildlife in the fishing field and use soft hooks to ensure no harm is caused to any fish. We also have our very own museum which tells the story of the origins and rise of Poundland and also the history of the Lustone Hall Estate. We conduct tours Monday - Friday 9am - 4:30pm at a cost of £8 per adult. Please let us know if you wish to book the use of our fishery or to tour the museum.
