Charming Peaceful CL

We stayed here for two nights on our way to Wales, what a lovely site with fantastic views.Very helpful welcoming owner. Would highly recommend and would love to come and stay for longer in the future to explore the surrounding area which looked interesting.

The loo needs to go!

We arrived around 1ish and were immediately greeted by Tony who is helpful and very friendly. I asked where the loo was. He was very surprised that we were planning on using the portaloo but as i explained we don't have a loo and it clearly stated in the details that there was a loo. He said he would see to it straight away. As we were setting up he came along and told us the loo was now ready for use. The loo had no lock, was overgrown inside with ivy coming in everywhere. It didn't smell because of the strong chemicals but had clearly not been cleaned properly for months possibly years, covered in cobwebs, open bin full of used paper towels and everywhere,,including the sink was splattered with dirt, cobwebs and debris. The loo seat itself was clean. The site is perfect in every other way - they just need to either replace the loo and keep it clean or lose it and amend details on website. I ended up giving the loo a good antibac and using it as little as possible. It was that or go home The site itself was immaculate with stunning views and very peaceful. So if you don't need a loo its perfect!

It's just the portaloo...

...that prevents this CL being fantastic. Tony is lovely, very friendly and helpful. The area is great and access to beautiful countryside is easy. If you treat it as a site with no loo - you won't be at all disappointed.

What a view

Excellent weather on the four nights we stayed here in September. Tony was very helpful on arrival and looked in a couple of times to confirm all was well. Dogs loved it, great cycling area. Superb mown grass ( with clippings collected, always a bonus !!) with astounding views. Took a panoramic picture which I would love to attach !  The pitch marker posts could be more spread out down the hedge line and the plastic portaloo has seen better days are the only real minor gripes.
