Telford Certificated Locations

Telford was one of many post-war new towns and its location makes it a great base for exploring Shropshire.

Walkers can enjoy climbing the Wrekin, which at over 1,400 ft. is the highest hill in the county and offers superb views over the surrounding countryside in all directions.

The Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford lies just east of the town, with a wide display of famous military aircraft including a Vulcan and the oldest Spitfire in the world.

Ironbridge is another must-see, with the nearby town being named after the famous bridge over the Severn and the foundries being part of a museum that traces the pioneering role the town played in the industrial revolution.
