Located at the mouth of the River Parrett, Burnham-on-Sea is a seaside resort in Somerset.
The town is located at the southern end of Europe's second-largest stretch of sandy beach, and it offers everything you'd expect from a seaside resort, including an elegant pier, donkey rides, amusements and plenty of candy floss.
If you want to spend some time outdoors, head to Apex Park. Converted from disused clay pits, it's now a lovely 42-acre space, which is perfect for picnics and watching wildlife.
Burnham-on-Sea hosts a biannual food and drink festival, as well as a number of other events throughout the year. There's also the Princess Theatre and Arts Centre, where you can watch a play or see the latest exhibition.
