Our CL site offers a peaceful, ‘off grid’ experience, surrounded by arable crops and the sounds of nature. We have sheep and horses on the farm with cows in adjoining fields. Easy access off Lower Burrow Lane into a flat, lawned one acre field.
We are well placed for many local tourist attractions or just kick back and enjoy a bit of tranquillity. A network of footpaths surrounds the site. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
Places of interest with walking distance:
Four local pubs within walking distance with The Rusty Axe being closest offering a warm welcome and amazing food. Burrowhill Cider are our next-door neighbours and their ‘Cider Bus Saturdays’ are legendary through the summer months, with artisan food, music and shows set amongst acres of orchard.
West Moor, forming part of The Somerset Levels, is a five-minute walk and a dream for nature lovers.
A fifteen-minute drive away - Thorney Lakes for fishing and Muchelney Pottery are both three miles away with the historic, riverside town of Langport six miles along the same road, very popular for paddle boarding and kayaking. The Brown and Forrest Smokery at Hambridge is just across the moor, a ten-minute drive. For art lovers there is Yandles of Martock with their gallery/hobby and wood turning exhibitions.
Kingsbury Episcopi has a thriving Community Shop and Café, (one and a half miles away and an easy walk) and open daily. The village also boasts it’s own concert band. KE Concert Band rehearse every Thursday evening in the Community Hall and visitors are always welcome to sit in.
A warm welcome awaits.
