Why stay here ...

Welcome to Whitchurch Farm CL. Our new site is based on our working family farm and surrounded by beautiful open countryside.

The site is on our family farm and the site itself is in a field located near to our Georgian Farmhouse with easy access from the road. We have 5 pasture pitches all with electrical hook up points and generous spacing's. The site has drinking water, a communal service point and rubbish bins all within easy access.

Whitchurch Farm is uniquely situated in a quiet rural hamlet, yet only a short drive from popular cultural town of Stratford-upon-Avon and on the outskirts of the Cotswolds. We are 5 miles from Stratford-Upon-Avon where you can find a number of tourist attractions including Shakespeare’s birthplace, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre (RSC), shops and an abundance of cafes and restaurants. We are also 13 miles from the historical town of Warwick which similarly has a range of cafés and restaurants and the popular historic Warwick Castle.

Whitchurch Farm is an ideal base for exploring South Warwickshire and the North Cotswolds. The Sustran cycle route passes by the farm and there are many local interesting walks for all abilities accessible from the site.

Visitors can join the footpath from the site and walk across the river to the local pub The Bell, a former eighteenth-century coaching inn part of the historic Alscot Estate. Whether you are looking for a delicious evening meal, a cosy drink in front the fire, or to sit in their spacious garden, The Bell accommodates for everyone. Or another local pub worth visiting is The White Hart in Newbold in Stour, this country pub has a great atmosphere with an open fireplace and traditional features.

The Farm has been in the James family for over 100 years, we continue to be a working farm with 60 cattle and 700 sheep and 400 acres of arable land. In the field next to the site are Annabel’s rare breed Grey faced Dartmoor pet sheep who are very much part of the family.

We look forward to welcoming you should you wish to stay at our site at Whitchurch Farm and more information will be available on arrival of the site.

Complete peace and quiet!

Whitchurch Farm
Lovely 3 night stay. Easy walk to The Bell Inn via footpath. Well kept without being “manicured”; suited us just perfectly as my husband was working nearby. We enjoyed a warm welcome and (as we prefer) were then left in privacy. We were reassured how to contact someone if we had a problem. Thank you Annabel! Will be back when work calls.

Stunning views from a peaceful site

Whitchurch Farm
Directions provided made access to the site really easy. Annabel was very welcoming and helpful. The views are absolutely stunning from the site. The site is a huge field with plenty of space for everyone, a very quiet and peaceful place. All facilities conveniently placed around the edge of the field. Just under 5 miles to Stratford which has all the usual amenities.

Friendly Whitchurch Farm

Whitchurch Farm
Very friendly owners and a peaceful site on the outskirts of Stratford. Very quiet. Wake up to the sounds of sheep and horses :) Walkable to a local pub. We used uber to travel to Stratford and back although bus routes are close by, nice walks along the country lanes. Local pub is great for food and a pint. Room for some improvement...but for a CL site I would use it again anytime :)

Friendly Owners, Peaceful Stay

Whitchurch Farm
You really should consider this site when visiting Stratford, the Field is large with plenty of room for Caravans and Motorhomes Yes you probably can find a site a little closer but do you really want to be by a busy main road, the site is easy to find useing the directions provided, the facilities are what you would expect from a CL. The main thing for us was how peaceful it was the views across the fields simply stunning. If you cycle the The Sustrans cycle track is directly behind the site, you have bus's nearby so getting into Stratford is not difficult Overall a very nice stay at a well run Site

Sheep Bleating is all you hear

Whitchurch Farm
Arrived for the May B/H weekend for 4 nights to find we were initially the only visitors. We were warmly met by Annabel and invited us to use any pitch which offers 16amps. Accessing the CL in Wimpstone is via a single track lane with few passing places however you would be unlucky if a vehicle was to approach. The field is quite large allowing ample room for all units, the field slopes and after a few previous days of rain the ground was soft under foot, levelling blocks are needed when setting up. The grass cuttings are collected when mowing which is always a plus. The views are very pleasing on the eye, the only noise is from the sheep grazing in the adjacent fields. We visited the local pubs i.e. The Bell and the White Hart and although The Bell is walkable across a field we chose to drive, The White Hart is in Newbold on Stour, both pubs differ in the type of menu on offer and prices. The No 50 bus operated by Stagecoach services Stratford on Avon and Shipston on Stour and further to Chipping Norton. Chipping Camden is a short drive and Broadway is a little further, with plenty of places to visit this CL offers a lot to walkers, cyclists and tourists. The farm offers B&B to non caravanners. This CL is new to the network and is in a popular location and we hope to return, our thanks to Annabel for your welcome.
