Why stay here ...

  • Sweet Knowle is a simple, back to basics site based on our working arable farm
  • The site is open all year round but we use the hard standing rather than the grass during the winter months
  • The site is peaceful and offers views across open countryside and lakes
  • The site is mown regularly but there are some sloping areas so levelling blocks are required
  • The site has drinking water, shared toilets, chemical waste point, refuse and recycling bins all within easy access
  • Dogs are most welcome on the site and visitors are encouraged to enjoy the unspoilt rural environment with walks around the farm
  • The farm is a haven for wildlife with plenty of waterfowl to be observed including ducks, swans, geese, moorhens, coots and herons (we have a heronry on the farm) and other birds including buzzards, red kites, little owls, reed warblers. We also have deer, hares, foxes so bring your binoculars
  • The site is on the edge of The Cotswolds AONB so is perfectly situated for visiting the picturesque towns and villages of The Cotswolds, such as Chipping Campden (8 miles), Broadway (13 miles) and Bourton on the Water (20 miles)
  • The town of Stratford upon Avon is 5 miles away with Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Ann Hathaway’s Cottage, RSC theatre, boating on the river and lots more
  • National Trust properties close by include Hidcote (6 miles), Charlecote Park (8 miles), Upton House (13 miles), Snowshill Manor (15 miles), Coughton Court (16miles), Packwood House (20 miles) & Baddesley Clinton (21 miles)
  • Warwick Castle (13 miles) & Kenilworth Castle (19 miles)
  • British Motor Museum (17 miles)
  • There are plenty of dog friendly pubs within a short drive from the site, all offering great food. The Bell at Alderminster (2.5 miles), The Howard Arms at Ilmington (3 miles), The White Hart at Newbold (3.5 miles), The College Arms at Lower Quinton (3.5 miles) & The Fuzzy Duck at Armscote (4.5 miles)
  • For walkers and cyclists we have the Monarch’s Way & Centenary Way on the doorstep
  • The No.51 bus can be caught at the end of the drive which goes to Stratford upon Avon and Moreton in Marsh
  • Also on the farm we have an aquatic shop specialising in tropical fish and pond plants
  • There is good mobile phone reception
  • Battery charging is available if required and the site is in a sunny position for solar panels
  • Please note, as we are a working farm I may not always be able to answer the phone, so for any queries or bookings please feel free to contact me through text message, WhatsApp or email

Excellent Site

Sweet Knowle
If you’re looking for wonderful countryside views, peace, tranquility and a lovely smart site then Sweet Knowle is just the place for you. Zoe is very welcoming and has great knowledge of the area and places of interest to visit, there’s plenty to do and see. The wildlife is amazing, you will get a visit from a variety of birds including the swans and signets. Great dog walks direct from the site too. We will visit this site again when in the area.

Everything you want & nothing you don't.

Sweet Knowle
Wonderful, quiet, peaceful, beautiful, quiet, clean, picturesque, quiet, friendly, did I mention quiet? What a find. As others have mentioned Zoe is friendly helpful, polite and a joy to meet. This was our first time in over 30 years 'off grid' and it's just made us change our search criteria. The paddock is slightly sloping, so bring blocks, but grass is lush and well drained. The chemical disposal point is clean, but does require you to lift containers to empty them, no pull into position & tip out. However the views over the surrounding area are wonderful, abundance of wildlife incl. Herons, Swans, Egrets etc. We had no issues using only 12v & gas for all services with the solar panel keeping the leisure battery topped up all weekend. Only 6 Miles from Stratford, plenty around yo see & do, or like us just sit back, listen to nature, view the wildlife and chillax We will for sure be back very very soon.

Rural retreat

Sweet Knowle
Spent seven nights on this beautiful site. Lovely views and plenty of wildlife. Very peaceful rural CL. Zoe welcomed us well and was very helpful with information on the surrounding area. Perfecly situated for visiting National Trust properties, local villages, Stratford and footpaths. Happy to recommend this rural retreat.

Great place to stay

Sweet Knowle
We have just returned from three days at Sweet Knowle. It was easy to book by text, we received a text from Zoe on Saturday morning saying we could arrive early if we wanted to, nice touch that I thought. The Site is excellent and Zoe an excellent host. Explained to us where everything was, and what was in the area, unfortunately we could not go on the grass because of the weather being so wet. The site is very peaceful and wildlife every where. There is no electric but we like it like that, but there are toilets, and were extremely clean and tidy. All in all a great site. Thank you very much Zoe for a great stay, and we shall be back in better weather. Anthony & Jeanette Motorhomer
