Newton Stewart is a small market town in the Galloway hills of Scotland and on the banks of the River Cree.
The town was originally founded by William Stewart, the son of the Earl of Galloway, and is famous for its amazing fishing, with anglers enjoying the salmon and trout.
Outdoors is a major part of Newton Stewart and the town is surrounded by great hill walking trails, as well as mountain bike paths in the Galloway Forest Park.
If you are lucky you should be able to spot a whole host of wildlife, including red and roe deer and wild goats.
