Lovely little site - will definately be back

Camling
Just spent a couple of nights here and it was perfect for us. Quiet, well kept and lovely dog walks straight from the site. The water tap location might be a bit of an issue for larger motorhomes as it's on the other side of the single track road with not quite enough space to park next to it without blocking the road. Smaller vans will be fine, or a long hose to run across the road and into the site. The grass is well kept although quite undulating in parts and in a motorhome it can take a while to get level. Mrs Campbell was very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay will definitely be back,

Quality basic CL in a lovely area.

Been here a few times over the years, and always enjoy it. Very basic with no power, but there's water, bins, and somewhere to empty the toilet tank. Nice mown field bordered by hedges and trees and has a great riverside walk straight from the site, an excellent short dog walk. For a longer walk, head to nearby Penpont and walk the excellent riverside walk there too. Great value, and a fantastic place to unwind.

A perfect stay at a perfect CL - back to basics

This is a fast disappearing type of site which is such a shame. The scenery was stunning and we were surrounded by nature. There was no need for electricity because we had the solar panel and gas. We walked every day direct from the site and explored the area on foot. We were given a very warm and friendly welcome by Mr & Mrs Campbell. We will definitely return to explore some more and even bring the bikes. Thank you for a lovely break.

Peaceful Stay

We stayed at this lovely site for 4 nights recently. The site has beautiful surroundings with views of the hills and the sound of the river nearby; you can get directly from the site to a riverside walk. The site directions are good and it is well signposted. Although very much in the countryside there is a village with a store within easy walking distance. It was very wet while we were there but we had no trouble getting on and off site despite not having a 4x4. Whilst the bins and cdp were easy to find the tap was a little harder - come out of the gate to the site and turn right and you will find it. I would say that this site is perfect as a relaxing get away with lovely views.
