lovely quiet little site not far from cross hands, good facilities, all pitches hard standing, well maintained site, met by a lovely gentleman and the owners were very helpful and polite. Will visit again.

Absolutely loved this peaceful beautiful site,

From the moment we arrived the owners were friendly, helpful, and chatty. The site is small quiet, rural, but has everything we want in our holidays. IE clean toilets and showers, which the owners kept spotless, the showers were lovely and warm. We have two dogs which we felt were catered for well, ie the site is fenced, we were able to take them for a walk/run in the farm fields and track, (no farm animals to worry about.) locally. We enjoyed being woken in the mornings by cockerels and cows and the birds, just a very relaxing site. There is a lovely nature reserve just up the road we enjoyed so much we stayed an extra night, and will certainly be booking again when we visit family who live

Absolute peace and quiet

We were looking for a peaceful site in the countryside and certainly found what we were looking for here, we loved it and wished we could have stayed longer than our two nights in our camper van. We were welcomed by Roy and a site neighbour and also gorgeous farm collies Griff and Meg. It was lovely to find a shower and male and female toilets located in a wooden chalet style building, and all spotlessly clean. The site itself was immaculate, neat and tidy and grass mown, and the only sound was the occasional bellow from cattle in the field and clucking chickens....perfect. I'd taken my binoculars along and on our first walk spotted a buzzard and later a red kite which made my day as it circled in the sky for ages. As we walked along the lane we came across an old milk churn stand which made me feel quite nostalgic, as I grew up on a dairy farm in the south of England, and we had one just like it. I can well remember my dad lifting the churns up onto the stand for the milk lorry to collect. We were hoping to visit some places of interest on our second day, but the weather was quite cool and cloudy and didn't really improve until mid-afternoon, but we didn't mind because we just enjoyed the peace and went for more walks, having a lovely greeting from dear old Griff on our return. Griff and Meg are not allowed on the site apparently, but we would certainly welcome a visit from them to our van, they're lovely. Everything we needed in the way of facilities was here and we will definitely return if Roy and Jeff have a pitch available and hopefully get to see the botanic gardens etc.

Seeking a campsite close to our relatives we hadn't seen since before the pandemic, I phoned the site direct and spoke with Mr Jeff Williams, the co-proprietor, and an easier booking I cannot imagine. Given that this was the maiden voyage as a newbie Caravan & Motorhome Club member with our brand new secondhand Mazda Bongo and awning, this was immensely reassuring and made me feel welcome even though I was in Norfolk more than 300 miles away. We made the journey on 11 August 2022 in ferocious heat and arrived rather wilted, but were immediately made welcome by Mr Williams, his brother Roy, other campers, and the camp sheepdog Griff. As a newbie I haven't got much to compare it with, and there are many other reviews that outline the facilities. It's a small, cosy pitch though in the height of summer there was little shade ... except for a kind of fairy grotto at the bottom of the field which offered welcome respite. We stayed for three nights and would certainly stay there again. The Tafarn-Y-Peacock pub down the road on the six-ways crossing at Gorslas did a splendid family-friendly Sunday lunch.
