Great Views!

Hendy
Can't fault this site - a gem. I would however add that the details only describe entry from the NE, which means using the A493 coast road which I didn't find that easy with a caravan. When we revisit, which we will, we'll approach the site from Tywyn direction, no problem at all, we left that way. So from Tywyn on the A493 heading NE, look out for the large cemetery on the right just after leaving town. Then after a few hundred yards take the first turn right (just BEFORE the welcome sign mentioned in the directions). Ignore the road on the right adjacent to the cemetery (although that would get you there too!)

Peaceful and Quiet

Hendy
We turned up on spec and were the only people of the site so appreciated the peace of the area. We don't use EHU and were invited to site our camper anywhere. The site is sloping so you will want levelling chocks We enjoyed looking at the lambs and basically being left to our own devices! There is easy access to fresh water and rubbish disposal.

long grass

Hendy
Long grass that doesn't look like it's been cut for quiet some time reading other reviews it seems Mr Lloyd doesn't take any notice or bothered to read these either.  Another  grouse is the area by the toilet emptying which is slowly being overtaken by garden rubbish being dumped around this area, and it could be better screened to avoid being watched by the bed and breakfast guests as you empty your loo. Also on several nights there were more than 5 units on site. I'm just wondering now if the caravan club ever read these reviews.

Nice cl,great position but long grass.

Hendy
Visited September 2015. This cl is very well placed within walking distance of tywyn, has a great view of the mountains towards Dolgellau, and the talyllyn narrow guage steam train runs right by it. On this visit the sloping well drained pasture had long grass, requiring the use of wellies to use facilities, but on a previous visit in June, it had been cut. There is a lot of space, with the electric posts arranged along the woodland edge, which gives some shelter from westerly winds.. The higher up the sloping field, the better the view, but there is only one water tap down the field by the entrance, the chemical disposal is a bit further down. Overall a nice cl, the nearby road can be heard but is not busy, and a great position for cycling or exploring this area.

Great for train buffs

Hendy
We got a friendly welcome by the owner and were told about the facilities. There is one toilet/washroom attached to the owners house just a short walk from the CL field. Hook-ups are available near the entrance to the field with shelter from a belt of tress or at the top of the field which is more exposed but right next to the Tal-y-Llyn railway line. Hendy has its own halt on the railway. The field is sloping and leveling blocks will be required. The views of the surrounding hills are very nice indeed and the site is very peaceful. It is about 2 Kms to walk into Tywyn for the beach, railway station, pubs and restaurants etc.
