Why stay here ...

Ramslade Club Site is nestled attractively between the River Dart and the coast offering facilities that won't disappoint. The site is ideal for families, with plenty to keep everyone entertained in the local area and a playing field on site. This caravan park affords beautiful hillside views from most of its pitches and is only a mile from Stoke Gabriel, one of Devon's prettiest villages. Crabbing at low tide is an absolute tradition in the area and easy river access to the village makes this an excellent centre for exploring towns along the English Riviera such as Torquay, Paignton and Brixham.

Within the lovely South Hams area of Devon, Ramslade Club Site also offers easy access to the inland attractions of Dartmoor and the busting cities of Plymouth and Exeter. The convenient location of the caravan site will also give you the opportunity to explore a number of National Trust properties. Lovely Site, poor access

A really nice site, with a choice of open or shaded pitches. Excellent facility blocks, well maintained. Great wardens, too, really pleasant and helpful. The only downside is the site access, which is via a very narrow road with limited sightlines (all too typical of Devon, unfortunately) so care and good fortune are required.....

Fantastic site

WOW!! What an amazing site. We have been members of the caravan and motorhome club now for just over 3 years and have used our membership on many occasions. I can honesty say that this is the best site we have ever stayed at. The toilet blocks were spotless, the wardens were extremely helpful, the dog walk was great and the whole site was an absolute delight. Access to the site from the main road was a little difficult but that has no reflection on the site whatsoever. A fish and chip van visits the site on a weekly basis together with a van that sells the most amazing curry dishes. We travelled to many beautiful locations within easy access from the site and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I cannot praise the site enough, so much so that we will be booking again for next year. Thank you Ramslade for a fantastic holiday.

1st time visit

Lovely and clean site, also very helpful and friendly staff. There is a games room which is very dated, we looked inside and walked back out. Table tennis and connect 4 was good for the children. Overal really pleased. We stayed for 6 nights in total, only downfall was 2 nights out of the 6, we were kept awake by people drinking and sitting outside, one night was 00.30 the other waa 01.30

First visit to Ramslade

We spent 10 nights at this site. On approaching the site I was surprised at how narrow the lane was, even with the passing places it wasn't the easiest site to get to. Once on site we received a lovely welcome from Mandy, one of the site wardens. We stayed on the only hard standing pitch available which was near to the toilet block and visiting chip/curry van. The next day we asked if we could move to a pitch that had become available and this was easily accommodated. The staff were friendly and helpful with lots of convenient touches such as being able to order newspapers and purchase fresh bread etc. The Fish and Chip's provided from the visiting van were excellent, don't know about the curry van but it certainly smelt good. I was a little surprised that there was only 3 toilets in the Gents, especially for such a large site. Ample showers and private wash rooms . Cleanliness was faultless. Our grand children visited and enjoyed the use of the amusement arcade, the table tennis and Connect Four. Difficulty getting mobile reception, you have to walk to the bench near at the top of the site. Nice walk in to Stoke Gabriel, about 25 minutes away. We left on Sunday morning at 8.00 am so that we could reduce the risk of meeting another vehicle coming in the opposite direction.

1st time & loved it!

It was our first time to Ramslade and we were not disappointed. We travel with two little children (3&4.5yrs) and we look for a caravan park with good facilities, near beach and has excellent reviews for cleanliness. This site ticks all the boxes. For those with a family you can't go wrong. The second we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, big smiles, given a site map, tourer explorer book for the kids, given a couple of choices on pitches and off we went! We had a serviced pitched, so its just one less thing for us, as parents, to worry about :) Love the area, we had our first crabbing trip in Stoke Gabriel with much success! - 4 crabs! Its the wardens that make your stay, to feel welcomed is number one priority and we felt that and knew we were in good hands. We had 7 nights at Wood Farm in Charmouth first and moved to Ramslade and had completely different experience and we want to thank Ramslade for this, as we want to make lots of caravan holiday memories for our children and we can honestly say they 100% did here. The park is excellent and the large field to run around in is an excellent idea, the information shop with books and fully stocked shop is the best we have seen. Very clean and excellent family showers with a separate changing area is a bonus with two little ones! I will say it again, its the wardens that make you come back, excellent staff. Thank you for turning our holiday around and we will continue our caravan journey as our kids have defiantly got the bug! :)
