Set in ancient quarry works and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), the Cambridge Cherry Hinton Club Campsite has been imaginatively landscaped to create the impression of being in the heart of the countryside while only a 25-minute bus journey to the city centre of beautiful Cambridge.

The caravan park gives you easy access to guided walking tours of the nearby medieval colleges where you can enjoy the academic atmosphere that makes the city famous. Wander along or take a punt on the River Cam to see colleges like Corpus Christi, Magdalene and the Bridge of Sighs. A visit to King's College Chapel is a must. If you're feeling a little lazy, open bus tours let you take in the full charm of the city while you relax. For those who like to cycle, the Cambridge Cherry Hinton Club Campsite offers good cycling paths from the site into and around Cambridge. Just opposite the site, you can enjoy a lovely walk around the nature reserve and old chalk pits. If you're feeling peckish, it's only a short stroll to the nearest pub and if you need to stock up on supplies, a supermarket can be found a little further down the road.

Not the best of conditions.

Cambridge Cherry Hinton Club Campsite
Stayed on site for 5 nights from 29th February. Pitch allocated on arrival due to poor ground conditions with a large number of pitches out of commission. Wardens were friendly and efficient. Some grass areas were badly scared where vehicles had been driven across to access hard standing pitches. Improvements are apparently planned to upgrade some hard standing pitches meanwhile the wardens will have their work cut out to make good the damage to some areas of grass. Used own facilities so can’t comment on toilet/shower block. Site location good for the attractions of Cambridge and surrounding areas - Ely Cathedral, Anglesey Abbey, Wimpole Hall and Imperial War Museum Duxford all interesting places to visit.

Well worth a stay

Cambridge Cherry Hinton Club Campsite
This was our first time at Cherry Hinton, and I have to say we were impressed. Good location for Cambridge by bus, and surrounding attractions. The facilities, including toilets, showers and washing up area are spotless. The site is set out in a variety of small, individual areas which give it a very private feel. Hosts were very helpful and said that there are plans to upgrade a number of pitches and the tent area over the next 12 months as planning as now been approved (eg for more hardstanding and less grass areas prone to rain and weather). Ideal for dog walking nearby, and local pubs within walking distance. Nearby road and school playing fields did not impact on our stay. We will be back in December for some festive spirit in Cambridge. Greg and Diane January 2024

Excellent!

Cambridge Cherry Hinton Club Campsite
We have visited before and returned for our new year break. Excellent friendly staff, peaceful campsite in easy walking distance to dog and child friendly pubs. Also easy use of the bus into Cambridge. Shoutout to the Salisbury Arms a short bus ride away, good beers, pizza and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this campsite.

Fantastic site

Cambridge Cherry Hinton Club Campsite
Stayed here last weekend. This has to be one of the cleanest and well kept sites we have stayed on. Exceptional cleanliness everywhere. Ideal location for getting into Cambridge with a choice of bus stops at the end of the road. Two goid pubs close by were an added bonus.
