Lovely Site

Hurn Lane Club Campsite
Arrived at Hurn Lane after a s very stressful journey after M5 had been shut and had to take diversions through villages around Weston. Had phoned ahead to let the staff know we were running late and we had no idea of our ETA. They were very considerate to the situation and said they would phone back later if we hadn't arrived by 7pm. In the end we did arrive before this time after 8hrs on the road and were greeted with a smile. The site was only about a third full the time we were there, so no difficulties with the clean and tidy facilities. The large hardstanding pitches were extremely well cared for and flat, and there was a permanent food station on site selling burgers, fish and chips, which we had used on our first night avoiding the need to cook so late after arriving. Took a lovely long bike ride, part of the pier to pier cycle route, to Kinston Seymour where we stopped at a cafe, The Owl in the Oak. Also cycled to Weston some of which was along the beach at Brean. The site was very quiet, however, it is edged by a large Holiday Caravan site, whose children's park is adjacent to one edge, which I could imagine being noisy in the Summer Holidays. A lovely site, would recommend

A Great Site!

Hurn Lane Club Campsite
We stayed here for a week with glorious weather in September. Access is ok, there is a sharp bend to navigate and the last 100m is on a single track road. We were on a serviced pitch which was level and easy to pitch. The site is generally quiet and at night you could hear a pin drop. The site was spotless during our stay with the wardens seen to be busy maintaining the high standard. Couldn't fault the shower block we used it was very clean and tidy. Beach is a walk away over the dunes, wide and you can drive right onto it through the main carpark. There is not really a great deal to do locally but that is exactly what we wanted and we took drives out to see some sights using this as our base. Should we return to this area we would come back to this site.

Signpost would help in finding the site

Hurn Lane Club Campsite
Stayed overnight on our way down to Cornwall. Usual high standard during our short stay. I would recommend that site has better signposting though. From the main road that's sweeps round to the left you have to turn right onto a side road. That would be an ideal spot for a sign. When driving on this road there is a left turn onto Hurn Lane which initially looked as if I was turning onto a track. Again would benefit by another sign.

A surprisingly quiet site.

Hurn Lane Club Campsite
We have used this site before as a stop off between Carlisle and Cornwall. Despite being totally surrounded by statics and chalets, the site itself is quiet, spacious and secluded - a real haven. The beach is a short walk away across sand dunes and there is a bus service to Burnham and Weston. We found the latter very disappointing and run down, the only redeeming feature was a wonderful artisan bakery which had Cheese and Marmite bread. Burnham though is much nicer and we have enjoyed walking back from Burnham along the beach. The only negative is the minute dog walk - the wardens did apologise for it. Otherwise, a great site..

Spotlessly clean

Hurn Lane Club Campsite
We have stayed at this site for many years, The staff are all very welcoming, there is a new couple this year who are super friendly, They always have time for you, The site is spotlessly clean as always, We were sad this summer to see they have taken the bins away in a few areas, And found out to our sadness that it has discouraged people to recycle, Which has always up to now been very good, Even though the facilities are less the price did not reflect this! 😢
