Why stay here ...

Great News - during winter 2020/21 we converted six grass pitches into hardstandings pitches, increasing the length and making them usable all year round.

Set in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, Wharfedale Club Campsite is screened from the outside world with stately trees and offering a rich variety of wildlife. Its two fields are divided by dry stone walls, which are very characteristic of this area. There are numerous walking paths from which you can explore the splendid surrounding countryside, and plenty of dog-friendly walks nearby. Situated in this loveliest of National Parks, the site has excellent facilities.

Wharfedale Club Campsite puts you within easy reach of Grassington, one of the most picturesque villages in the Yorkshire Dales. With its charming cobbled main street, comprehensive Information Centre and a good selection of shops selling local specialities, you will find more than enough for a fun family outing. There are also numerous pubs serving some fine Yorkshire Ales and some delicious home-cooked treats to be had. Prior to Christmas, Grassington holds a series of Dickensian Days on Saturdays throughout December, making this North Yorkshire caravan park the perfect destination for a festive holiday break. You can also enjoy a walk into Burnsall village which boasts a beautiful riverside location.

We look forward to welcoming you on site soon.

First Motorhome Trip

Wharfedale Club Campsite
As this was our first trip away in the motorhome we didn’t want to go too far away from home. I contacted the site prior to our visit to ask if we could leave earlier on our departure date and Stuart the site ‘manager’ said that wouldn’t be a problem at all. Once we arrived a lovely lady greeted us at the gate and gave us clear instructions as what to do. I couldn’t believe how organised and tidy the site was. My husband used the toilets and commented on how clean and well maintained they were. The other visitors we came across and spoke to were very friendly and considering how many visitors were there the site was peaceful. As we had to take our little dog, we didn’t venture far as he’s not very good with other dogs or men in particular (hence him wearing his yellow ‘I need space’ jacket)! He behaved as best he could! We walked into Grassington which is a nice walk even via the roads. Without the dog we would have probably sampled the local pub food and drink as there are a couple not too far from the site. Our only complaint was the intermittent rain! Although it was still warm. I would highly recommend this site with its welcoming and friendly staff and we will definitely return. Thank you.

A wonderful few days!

Wharfedale Club Campsite
This is our second visit to this site, a quiet location with lovely walks and beautiful scenery in close proximity. The site was clean and well presented and the staff was friendly and helpful as usual. The site is ideally located if you want to explore the market town of Skipton, ride the steam railway at Embsay or walk around Bolton Abbey estate. You only have to drive a little further up the dale to enjoy Aysgarth Falls, The Forbidden Corner and Leyburn. If you want to chill out and fully unwind, then this is the site for you!!!

What a great site - so pleased we found it

Wharfedale Club Campsite

Lovely location, great facilities, spotlessly clean and very friendly, helpful wardens, always happy, smiling and happy to answer any questions etc. So much to do from the site from dog walks over the hills to visiting Grassington, Skipton, Settle, Ribblehead Viaduct, Malham Cove. The garage along the road is a great find with some lovely fresh produce, cakes etc in store. Grassington has some great shops in to browse through. Loved it and will certainly return

Beautiful site

Wharfedale Club Campsite
We live Yorkshire. This site is wonderful with hard working Wardens. The site is large and very busy and beautifully maintained. Plenty dog walking from the site and dog wash facilities. Nice playpark for the kids. Lots of quaint Yorkshire villages to explore in the area. Lots to see and do. We loved it and will be back.

Walks till you drop

Wharfedale Club Campsite
Located near to Grassington, the beautiful North Yorkshire Village we see on our TV's when watching All Creatures Great and Small. The walk down from Grassington to the falls at Linton are a must and you can walk for miles in any direction from the Club Site. Staff were fantastic and the shop is handy for those essentials you ran out of. There's also a very impressive SPAR shop just down the road. Feeding the Ducks and Moor Hens just before arriving at the site and the Rabbits pay little attention to people even when you get very close up. Great for kids. We took a walk up to the Quarry at Threshfield where I launched a drone to take in the magnitude of the place. Lakes here are stocked with rare fresh water shrimps in an attempt to protect several small species. Weather was mostly superb when we were there making for a very enjoyable stay. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkdmMlM9nDc&ab_channel=Snakecharmer
