Fabulous

Don’t hesitate, this is a charming site, the wardens keep it immaculate, they are both welcoming and friendly, full of information and tips. There is not a toilet block here, it’s not important to us, as we normally use our own anyway. It’s half the price of the site down the road, always worth considering. Can’t praise this site enough, and as yet no midges.

Peaceful quiet and immaculate

Very pleased with this site. Note...there is no bathroom block...but not a problem if you have one anyway...the grounds are immaculate and beautiful. You check in at another club site a minute away. I was greeted at Clachan by an elderly very friendly informative gentleman. I think he was a volunteer. He had treats in his pocket for my dogs. Mains connection on site...water and chemical dump near to your site. The overall location is hilly...but I liked that...the pitches are perfectly flat. Hard pitches and grass ones. Just a lovely spot...and good value.

Peaceful!

Just spent a very peaceful weekend here. Hadn't been for about 8 years, will be back sooner this time. Well kept, though rather hilly.

Nature Reserve

A one-night stay on our Scotland tour, nice pitches, friendly staff, we use our own facilities so lack of these no issue. Amazing amount of birds to see but fair amount of traffic noise due to being close to a main road. Only downside is probably not best for motorhomers as roads not ideal for pedestrians (only access to nearby town which was delightful). Also if you visit here in summer ensure you have copious amounts of citronella - the Scottish midgie flourishes here & definitely likes the taste of an Englishman!

Motorhomer comments

Lovely small site set in a woodland great for nature saw a red squirrel & good selection of birds & it is quiet. The road is very busy, fast cars, motorbikes & has large farm vehicles using it. So as for walking or cycling off site a bit risky so we did not. We have a dog so this was not ideal as the dog walk very very short, 3 mins? also only 1 dog bin on site. The village is quite away from the site but has shops where produce can be bought and bars. For caravans' not a problem.
