Why stay here ...
Please note: As this is a Volunteer run site regrettably the Club has taken the difficult decision to close Clachan for the rest of the season due to current Coronavirus restrictions. Please accept our apologies for the any disappointment this may cause.
The Clachan Club Site is a find with its several open pitching areas tucked quietly away in woodland ablaze with wild flowers and an amazing range of bird and wild life. Based here, you can experience the best of this fabulous countryside on foot or by car as you are in the glens, mountains and lochs of the Central Highlands - country to dream about.
Make sure you visit the Ben Lawers Nature Reserve. From the car park, situated a thousand feet above Loch Tay, you will experience unforgettable views whilst also having access to the Edramucky Trail offering an ever changing display of alpine flowers and a wide range of bird life. For the more adventurous, Ben Lawers, Beinn Ghlas and the Tarmachan Ridge can all be accessed from the car park.
Please note: This site does not have a toilet block.
Please note: all visitors should check in at Maragowan Club Site. Maragown is on the right of the A827 (Killin - Kenmore), 0.5 miles past the end of the village. At Maragowan visitors will receive further information on Clachan, together with a numerical code to operate the entry barrier. Clachan is on the left of A827 (Killin – Kenmore) about 1 mile past Maragowan Club site and 0.5 mile past golf course.
