Hi All

This sticky will provide the list of any CL sites which have opened or closed from the previous month in 2021. All of these will appear in the monthly magazine as well but this will show 2 months later.

I will provide a link to any new CL sites and list them as 'County - Listing Town - CL site'.

If you have any questions please comment in this discussion and I will get back to you.

Thanks

Maddie

Crikey - £28 per night for a new CL -  Extra for dogs

There are so many existing options in the area it may have been sensible to have price matched (or even undercut) to attract visitors before increasing the price.

Depends on what access to facilities is available on the adjacent site

Crikey

But surely worth it for all that extra space and individuality that many CL users appreciate that you spoke of?

Your post makes it sound that maybe cost is also a factor to you Mikey? smile

Similar price to adjacent commercial site. maybe (especially with Covid delays) t was considered simpler to extend via CL network rather than via an extension of existing site via planning.

Cost doesn't really come into any of my purchases, what I always look for is value for money.

Looking at the adjacent site prices I definitely do not consider that Peak Period on a Non electric pitch could be considerd good value at £28 per night.

Good try, but really your Crikey was aimed at the £28? as simply as you posted.

But yesterday you said that it was space and individuality that many liked about CL's, but for you it's now VFM? In which case you'll find cheaper club sites to get that VFMsmile

Well I for one wouldn't pay that to stay on a club site, let alone a CL. With the amount of touring we do it is way outside of our budget. I'm sure I would be able to find a CL reasonably close by that would suit our needs and for a lot lower price.

The CL in Cheshire, Winterley, is a good example of why it's always wise to check prices before booking.  It's headline price is £18, however, it does also state that:

The prices will differ through the season. For exact price of stay please contact the CL directly.

It reminded me of a recent thread about CL prices, at least this CL is being honest about the fact prices vary through the year, but it's the first time I've ever seen that on a CL, normally prices stay the same through the year.

Maybe a change of tactics, to see what people are prepared to pay?

Interesting addition to Fox and Rabbit!

In addition to this one it also appears to have two other sites, a further CL and a C&CC CS. All probably operate under different business names. Nevertheless Interesting the Club is happy to certificate a motorhome stopover!
