Tend to agree, it was certainly at least that at the leisure club we used to frequent, prior to covid. However, when we spent a few days just north of Biarritz in September 2019, the Atlantic at 21C wasn’t bad on a lovely sunny day. That’s about my limit these days.😀

When we were last in the canaries it was over 30C but there still a heated pool. Loved it.

The Solent was 5 degs this morning, regulars were in, no wet suits, but am not advocating people should try this, it can be extremely dangerous if you are not experienced in wild swimming, when i did the New Years day charity swim some 5 years ago 3 people had to be rescued, as their bodies just ceased up on entry.  You have to be a bit of a masochist to do this, buy every year 100's enter the water, but officially you have to swim to the offshore bouy to qualify, but many dont. laughing

I see reports that Nicola Sturgeon is considering banning all Overseas holiday trips for 2021. That will go down well. Wales also thinking about it.

Can see a lot of travelling to airports and ferry terminals in England.

Sadly, too late for a huge number. I read somewhere that 21 million people went through Heathrow alone during pandemic months. One airport. Admittedly some of those folks will have been going on elsewhere, but it’s a shocking number in terms of controlling movement.

The leaders of all 4 UK governments should have made that decision 12 months ago.

When some try to "advise" that what has happened could have been handled better  ,many it seems overlook how small this main island is and  how many are crammed into it,  even more so in some of the Towns and Cities  ,,also how many points of entry we have,  compared to other places, undecided

Yes and i hope the devolved goverments do not lift lock down restrictions for travel and the leisure industry until after the Easter Break, with the exception of schools, or we run the risk of having Xmas mark 2.  undecided
