Hello Everyone,

Just a quick update for you in relation to the Emission Stickers in France. The FIA as well as the French Government have warned that there are a number of companies which allow you chase the Vignette/Emission Stickers but for a higher cost. The French Government has recommended that you purchase the stickers from the following website:

https://www.certificat-air.gouv.fr click on "Demander son certificat" confirm that you accept the terms and conditions and click on the Suivant link. Fill out the form, make a payment and the certificates will be sent to you. The cost of the emissions stickers are around £3.20.

**Please note that if you use Google Chrome the option to translate the page will come up when you first arrive on the French Government page.**

Says you can only pay by debit card, so that bumps up the price for many of us.  Non-sterling transaction fee and poor exchange rate no doubt.

I take it they will not allow credit cards?

Is this sticker valid for the whole of France?

It's the autoroutes going straight through the middle of Lyon and Grenoble where it looks as though I shall need one.

Lyon - copied from the French Crit'Air website:

Attention : Les autoroutes A7, A6 et A42 ne sont pas concernées par la mesure. Vous trouverez ici une liste des autres voies qui ne sont pas concernées par la mesure.

and translated:

Attention: The A7, A6 and A42 motorways are not affected by the measure. Here you will find a list of other channels that are not affected by the measurement.

You will, however, require a vignette to cross Grenoble even on the autoroutes.

Translation here:

According to an announcement from the city of Grenoble, the Crit'Air vignette will also be mandatory to cross the territory of the metropolis of Grenoble by motorway. This obligation takes effect from the Voreppe toll gate on the A48 to the north of the Crozet / Vif toll gate on the A51 in the south and from the Crolles toll gate 'A41, to the west. The A480, which crosses Grenoble, is also concerned.
