When uploading the documents is it the V5 or CoC you upload for a Motorhome.

Also what do you put down as CO2 emission when it is not required/listed for a MH?

The application form states that the copy of my V5 must be attached and must be less than 400KB. For the life of me I can't get the scan file this small even in a pdf. It is coming out over 1 MB. Any suggestions please? My brain has gone addled!

Open the scanned image and then use the save as function to save as a jpeg. Once saved, resize the image to a 1000 pixel width and the file size should be much smaller. If you are using Windows down load a program called Irfanview which will allow you to take all the actions I have suggested, its free.

Thanks, David, I'll download Irfanview. However, I have completed my application form and just sent the jpeg that I had straight from the scanner. It seems to have been accepted. They have sent me a confirmation of my application so I'll just wait and see if anything untoward comes back. I hope not.

Hi All, Thomas Ash (Staff) may be the one who knows!

Although it has been asked already 'Why can't one countries LEZ sticker be valid in all LEZ zones European wide?' Or has been implied do we have to have one for each individual country that we pass through?

We are planning to visit at least 5 EU countries this summer! Any input by well seasoned travellers would be appreciated... (Don't mean the salt and pepper seasoned) 😜

It seems a sensible suggestion to have one emission sticker for the whole of Europe, co-operation in the best sense of the word. There are probably a couple of reasons why that is not the case yet. Each country is trying to deal with individual problems which might not translate across borders. Also what each country decides to do in terms of traffic restrictions is I understand not within the EU remit, at least not at the moment which perhaps prevents a common system Europe wide.

In answer to the last bit of your question it very much depends on where you intend to stay or visit on your holiday as its quite possible that you might not need any stickers. In Germany it tends only to be the centre of towns and cities affected and most people will use public transport to get into cities.

Hi All,

I share the common sense approach to having one sticker that covers the whole of Europe but as DavidKlyne has said the EU doesn't have a remit for traffic restrictions. It is up to each member state to regulate and introduce their own traffic restrictions including the LEZ which I can appreciate is frustrating.  Hopefully in time things will look to change but it does mean in the mean time that you will require a separate sticker for each country with a LEZ until progress is made in that area.
