Amenity blocks closed until 17th May

Anyone realised this. I just don't get it. Why can pubs open their shared toilets for outdoor diners / drinkers,  motorway services shared toilets never been closed, but caravan & camping sites can open 12th April but can't open their amenities until 17th May. And I would bet that most site toilets are far more hygienic and cleaned more often than pubs and motorway services. Bonkers.

Moderator Comment - I think this thread has run its course now. When the off topic posts outnumber the on topic ones it is time to close.

As long they are not in Wales, N Ireland or Scotland of course. I can see a great rush down to Cornwall if that's the case.

It's funny how the other parts of the UK seem to be forgotten when it comes to announcements from London. It's no wonder the backs of Nationalists are up and it just feeds into the PR machine for them.

Have you got a link M or a reference point?

Sorry Moulesy I see that you did reference ITV. Forget my request.

I think ITV have made a mistake.

Quite possibly - I've told her to stick with Simon McCoy and BBC while she still can! laughing

Police advice here. You can visit your second home to check it out but you cannot stay overnight. Our site, where our static van is, have advised that owners can visit their caravans, by appointment, to get them ready but No overnight stays.

What you mean is that you got it wrong. You mixed me up with someone else but are trying to bluff your way out of it.

Just apologise and stop digging a bigger hole. You're making yourself look very silly.

Our site has made clear that, as expected, seasonal and static van owners will be welcome back from April 12, Debs, and I'm sure that is the correct position. I haven't looked to see if ITV have updated that news section; maybe the "second home" bit is just to allow our poor overworked MP's the option to spend a leisurely Easter break at their 2nd/3rd/4th properties!  surprised
