Whilst a club site I observed a fellow caravaner charging his vehicle via the external socket of his caravan, is this procedure conducive with the guidance given on site leaflets "that the use of electricity should be considered to help minimise our effect on the environment", additional should extra charges be made for carrying out such procedure.

I have noted recently that more and more public car parks are charging blue badge holders (cash strapped councils?)which i cannot see a problem withundecidedsurprised

But as for charging mobility scooters on you pitch who would know as can the batteries be removed?

At least many car parks that levy a charge on disabled parking also give a gratis additional hour in addition to the time paid for - presumably to allow for the fact that some make slower progress.

Oscar’s scheme will also need compliance with the Secondary Supplier Agreement if electricity is to be sold by the unit as it can only be re-sold for the same price as the club pays.

Wow, what a wonderfully simple system!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Buts it only a suggestion do you have a suggestion or compromise to suit all members, the club has already made their views clear at present, in the near future there will be an increase of electric vehicles on site.

If and when it becomes a problem, then metering has to be the way to go with all forms of batery transport paying for the leccy, obviously pitch fee reduction would be needed.

Gawd, I sound like 'PD' now.

Nope, it’s not my job to solve the issue when people in the club have far more detail and resources to work with than you or I.

That’s what we pay them for and, if we don’t like the end result, we stop paying em.

Better to discuss it and get it out in the open, at least the club can see the members views.

Everyone has there own views and we should respect  that.

but do you think that what we are saying here is a representative sample (it certainly is not in terms of numbers) of what members want or think?

Was my post disrespectful?

I am certain the Club are aware and irrespective of the few views on here, they will make a decision. If we don't like it we have an option open to us all.
