Holidaying with Dogs

Caravanning, Motorhoming and Camping are wonderful ways to take our dogs on holiday with us. This discussion is a place to share advice about holidaying with your dogs.

Please note, this is not a place to complain about dogs on campsites. We do fully understand that there can be issues and we would request that you please report these to us via our complaints and compliments for Club Campsites (link below) and please do not misuse Club Together as a channel for complaint. By sending via the appropriate channels your complaint will be logged and dealt with appropriately.

If you do post a complaint we will remove it and ask that people do not respond but report to us. Many thanks.

Report a complaint about dogs HERE (please don't post on Club Together).

Thank you everyone and happy touring! smile

I think quite a few posters here should re familiarise themselves with the community guidelines.

Talking of leaflets, even if one isn't offered at book in there will always be a plentiful supply of club leaflets for dog owners, bollard electrics etc etc in the site information room.

As far as I'm aware dogs are top of the list in complaints so why would the suggestion of handing out existing club leaflets be against any community guidelines especially when I'm sure it's the clubs policy to hand out these leaflets.

"As far as I'm aware dogs are top of the list in complaints... "

Oh, I think you'll find they come behind complaints about speeding drivers, pitching the "wrong way", flags, lights, blokes wearing football shirts, children riding round the site, loud TV's, ball games, smelly barbecues, early arrivers, late departers, the state of the toilets, the price of sites, not being able to decline EHU, not having a well stocked shop .... have I forgotten anything?  undecided

…..the booking system?

In my time on sites most people seemed to want to speak to or about my dogs so I can’t see how they’d top the complaints league table either.

You forgot too many Non Members allowed on sites Moulesy………..๐Ÿคญ

Arch, the reality is that none of us who aren’t employed by the Club can have any definite idea of exactly what does top the complaints list. Speculating what might isn’t the same thing๐Ÿ˜‰

Someone I know was on a club site, every morning a neighbour walked his dogs across their pitch and others to do their toilet they complained to the warden who wasn't interested did nothing about it and it continued when they returned home they made an official complaint the reply was the most complained about subject was dogs and every dog owner should be given a leaflet explaining guidelines for dogs on sitel

Arch, you a prolonging a debate that is almost as old as CT itself, and always ends up the same way. Posts will be Deleted User, the thread will be locked, and then hopefully re opened for those who do want to share positive notes on holidaying with dogs, rather than another takeover by those who are not interested in dogs, but just want to moan about them.

As Ro’s opening post states, complaints are dealt with elsewhere, not on this thread.
