Some good news. It seems one of the trial vaccines offers 90% protection against the virus. The developers have applied for an emergency approval to use the vaccine by the end of the month. UK has an order in place for 30m doses.

I had an interesting discussion with a lady who should know a couple of hours ago.  Without going into great detail, which I don't really understand, her professional view is that the Oxford Astra Z vaccine may yet pip the Pfizer one to the post.  Both are very advanced but the Pfizer offering has yet to be peer reviewed whereas the one from Oxford Astra Z has completed that part of the process.

The reason (i understand) the Oxford vacine has not already "out there"  there ,  has been a bit of a hiccup when two guinea pigs developed bad side effects  ,who may have an undiagnosed other illness

It's odd that China has not had a 2nd wave as yet. Have they already got a vaccine?

No, but they do have a totalitarian regime and that helps.

Not only inaccurate (it was not Guinea Pigs but one Human wink) but also old news.  The trials were paused the data was reviewed and they were restarted about two months ago.  Keep up John smile.
