Gardening for us as well today.  Quite a few of the shrubs have had a bit of a haircut and the rest of the garden a good tidy.  I have also given the conservatory a bit of a clean as the lovely sunshine showed up the dust!

Hope work on your downstairs loo goes well David.  We have always been pleased that we have one.  Makes life easier with both elderly visitors and young children. Enjoy your afternoon tea.

A most enjoyable day out today, meeting up with WM & Mrs WM for a couple of walks. A rather muddy one up on Birkrigg Common but with great views all round, although we had a little  soggy problem getting off!! Then another out on the coast before calling in for a pint or so of Timothy Taylor's. It was great to meet up with them again.

Quite sunny today, got started on the wall tiling in DD's utility room, lots of tiles to be cut as several sockets and switches in the area to be tiled.

They are off out tomorrow for lunch, to celebrate SIL's mother's birthday, so we will have to entertain Callum and sort out his and our lunch.

DD has said she will come back ASAP to check I am doing the tiling correctly!

She is a very demanding "client" !!

As Nellie alluded to, we spent a thoroughly enjoyable day in the NTHs company. Good views, good weather, good company and a fine drink at the end. What more can you ask for from a day?

Good luck M.

Come on you lot, more of the Happy, Lovely News type of posts if you please !  It's bitter cold and still foggy here in the Residence in Cheshire, so I'm doing what I need to do but even the directional fan heater ain't cheering me up a lot so it's back to 'grafting' and I'll see your posts later  wink
