One thing having to deal with first aid at home has taught me - keep the supplies topped up! We seem to have more stuff we don't need than stuff we do. And, maybe not an ethical way to do it - but Amazon next delivery is a quick and easy way to replenish.

I'm keeping my arm dressed and covered, but letting it "breath" for a few hours in the evening when I'm sitting still.

Today I will be tackling a pile of washing up - with the right arm protected in a long AI glove.

Goldie, that image is priceless😂 Don't forget to sterilise the glove before the AI man calls again! Hope it isn’t too painful, and on the mend.

Its amazing the different skills that you get to use in a situation like this lockdown, reasonable first aid knowledge being one. I did a dog grooming course a good few years ago, those skills have been put to use on OH and my Mum these last few months, with not too much damage done.

Blimey, what a lot going on out there in CT Land today surprised.  I trust the dust has settled everywhere what with new telebox's, poorly microwaves, well stirred up first aid boxes and such. Do so hope you are all coping well with one functioning arm, no porridge, new remote to master  etc  -- life can be hard with the week end to come as well cool

And here's me shivering away having trimmed my own beard ~~ Bathroom waste bin  now full ~~ might get one of these 'simple' pale blue coloured masks on now without  the elasticky ear anchor  things coming free.  Even my right [ mouse control ]  paw is feeling cold, 'cos I've tried to sort out an account with bank but I so very nearly started singing ## Here we go round the Santander Bush ##  Now I'll end up with a longer stay on the town centre car park on Monday --  at least I'll use a load of the Bank's  sanitizer instead of ASDA's own  'ready-use' stuff wink

Ah well, JVB, just think of the saving you have made by not being away in the caravan so much!

Our microwave, which was actually a combi oven, freestanding, went last summer, so we now have our son's old microwave, as they inherited a built in one when they bought their present house.   OH said we would take it to try, she really wanted a new combi one, so we still have it.   She is missing the grill function however, so may yet have her way!

Feels like a satisfying week. Rubbed down one of our internal doors and gave it four coats of paint, 2 undercoat and two gloss. Actually it was 7 coats in total. I used water-based undercoat and then a coat of water based gloss. I consider myself quite a good painter but the finish with the gloss was horrible. Consequently I sanded it all off and started again with solvent based paint and have now got a perfect finish, (I always take doors off and paint them flat). It helped pass the days away.

On top of painting the door I've sifted through numerous CL details and booked five, three for April (all being well) and two for June. I've also booked our mobile caravan service engineer for the end of March. Surprisingly he only had one slot left in March.

Let's see what I can find to do next week.smile

Like most on here we've had a busy day.

Too slippy to have a walk this morning but sun was shining so no reason not to tackle a few jobs outside. The drive block paving needed de-weeding and sand loss replenished. That took up all of the morning and part of early afternoon. Had a session trimming some stuff in the garden .

Just par boiled the veg for roasting for tonight. Whilst getting pans out I separated the steamer from the bottom big pan I wanted and lo and behold there between the two was a Placemat!! Needless to say MiL does the dish drying. 🎼 There may be trouble ahead🎼

Roofer calling tomorrow. Off to give MiL her jab as well. I did offer to do it but somehow they won't let me.undecided

Take care folks.

Poodles! We had to use poodles on the course. Seriously high maintenance. They are lovely pooches, but I hate to see them with the silly show clips. I used to take our Airedales in, they were easier. But they don’t need as much clipping. I borrowed BIL’s big dog Airedale, we got him into the bath, then he kicked off big style, fangs bared. He really meant it as well, even tutor said whoa, don’t go there😱 He’d only even been hand clipped by my BIL. I took him the same bedraggled wreck back, told him to try socialising him!

Just back from a cycle ride. Abused by a driver only 100 metres from house. Claims I pulled a face at him. No said I that was merely fear of being run over by your out of control car (he actually mounted pavement) More abuse, but he hadn’t seen my OH who was following😂 Miserable old coot backed down at that point. Then a further 400 metres into ride, knocked off by a headphone zombie who decided to come to a dead stop and veer backwards into me! Accidental, we parted happily, no damage done. Then it was back to dodging the usual stuff. Hey ho, it all improves the bike handing skills. Can’t wait to go further afield. We both decided it would be safer on a dual carriageway than in the local park. 🤷‍♀️

Text received to book OH jab. Having it Saturday, not offered a choice of time but fortunately it's late morning so shouldn't be an issue, at our GP surgery.

I did gently ask if I could have mine at the same time but was asked if I'd received an invite. I answered honestly no but the text did come to my phone, so she laughed and said no invite no appointment. The texts/calls do come to my mobile and I think takethedogalong has the same system?, it's a job to know who the recipient is meant to be at times. OH won't use his mobile, I have to remember to charge it and pop it in his coat pocket, more for someone else to use if he gets into trouble.......... Optician texts start with either of our names.

New TV arrived and set up, had to clean behind the TV cabinet whilst the guys were here! Been too frightened to move it myself, even the guys said wow to the nest of wires, now mostly gone 😀. Sadly 🤣DVD  player and Wii cant be used on new one, they're all analogue, so no need to feel guilt at not using keep fit DVD's or WiiFit board . Fabulous service, self owned company been around for years, not as far back as Noah being a lad but you get the drift. We had decided on size in early discussions but had a sleepless interlude night before fitting, spoke to owner and asked if possible to bring the larger one as well, no worries! Guys didn't bring smaller one in and as soon as we saw how larger one fitted and looked decision made. As they left OH said aren't you going to pay them? We all laughed and the guys said, no in a few days 'Jack' will send out an invoice and if you're happy with the set up you pay. How old fashioned and what great service is that? Yes I could have got it cheaper, not overly looked, at John Lewis or Curry's etc, but I think even John Lewis would struggle to meet that level of service. The house had yet another good blow through!

New boiler being fitted next Friday, have booked Dora a day stay with her sugar daddy and family, well trusted all round, as I can't imagine keeping her contained in one room would be easy and the guys will want to work in peace without her believing everyone loves her! Got to work out logistics for meals and drinks as boiler in the kitchen, but shouldn't be too hard 😉.

Dry here again slight frost so off to the estate for a good run and good dose of fresh air.

Feeling for those struggling with flood issues.

B2, is the TV a smart, WiFi enabled for streaming?🤔. If so you won’t need a DVD👍🏻

We have 2 C/poos, one of the demands I had when we lost our Retriever & had to accept she’d not be replaced was-no dopey hair cuts. . .Summer #1, Winter #3. Mother & Daughter. One scurrys like a Cocker, the Daughter just encourages her Mother whilst sitting on the high ground cleaning her nails😂😂
