I'm inclined to agree with your last comment JVB - about the same cost as a high-end laptop!

Busy day, help in garden, last time for 2021...gardeners puppy joined in too. A very lively terrier, nice natured. Visit to dentist delayed for an hour as they were too busy, not very happy about the visit, dentist suggested sipping drinks during Covid was causing dental decay amongst the population...but they can't do my teeth til next May!!

I looked up what damage tea (I presume she didn't mean alcohol!?) could do to teeth and discovered tea is quite good for teeth as it reduces the acid content in mouths. Not best pleased. Don't spend my time sipping drinks either....what do they think we are all doing?wink

Then collected new glasses, well they fit and I can see, so no complaints on that score.

Spent some time looking for new dentists......

Very chilly here with strong winds. Feel so sorry for those still without power.

I've got this ridiculous image of everyone "sipping" their way through Covid ABM! laughing

Are they Denplan  Brue? They need to improve their bedside manners if you ask me.

I seem to be sleeping longer these last few days. Maybe it's my body healing after the weekend, although as a cure for partial Insomnia I don't think it will catch on.

Decided to get all of our Aldi and Lidl shopping out of the way this morning. Items needed over Christmas but necessarily for Christmas itself. Wednesday morning early on always best day here for those 2 shops. Back home to wrestle with household chores. No chance of doing anything outside as "bucketing down" is the polite way of saying it.

Decided to have a light supper/dinner tonight. we like to lay off heavy meals midweek time. So it's a steamed Mincemeat and Apple Pudding with custard. Pudding is puttering noisily away in the kitchen.

Mrs WN fighting a losing battle with NHS website trying to get one of us a covid passport. Wales piggy back on England and most of the site is set up as if you have a surgery in England. As we only carry 1 "not as smart as some" phone and one main email address on gmail we've had to set up a second one with the surgery for email and wait to see if the NHS accept the same phone number when she does her own tomorrow. Isn't life exciting?laughing

ABM I hope you don't live in Wistaston Road as it's been reported that they have the slowest download speed in the whole UK.

Then again, it might explain a lot of things.winklaughing

So club sites are not the slowest then !!

The 10 slowest were found in

Crewe,  Banchory,  Horsham,  Tyldesley,  Doncaster,  Gwaelod-y-Garth,  Morden,  Lewisham,  Waddington and Caithness so not all in rural spots.

Funnily enough one of the places that was shown as the fastest was also in Cheshire.

Hit and Miss wherever you happen to be.

No, not me WN ~~I'm Much closer to Haslington than that,  but I'd still not walk it, honest embarassed

Might even be even quicker than that when my Post man delivers the promised kit  wink

Not too sure about the last comment you made tho' ~~  Brian does get a tad touchy at 'undirected' digs which just could be per-per-personal   mwaaaaah !

Could try to solve the general list of slow-loads 'cos we host Doncaster on the porage pitch in some tuppenny - ha'penny cup tonight  innocent

surprisedIt just goes to prove that those who complain about ,club site speeds do not seem to understand  they are lucky they are with their speeds

I think if the speed  that our friend in Norfolk gets is below the slow speeds that the bottom  areas get
