Posted on 25/06/2018 16:12 by young thomas...but the difference is that thise sites don't have dogs, EHU, pitch type or awning built into their prices..
for those who dont have dogs/kids, or require EHU, awning or HS the prices can be attactive.
I think the 'choice/flexibility' being referred to (even on any new site with 'full facilities') is that for customers to take and pay for options (dog, awning, EHU, Hs etc) only if they want them.....still a full facilities site but with more customer choice over which options they take up.
when price comparisons are done (as they are with club sites) it always seems like it has to be for someone with 2 kids, a couple of dogs, and awning, a hard standing and EHU...
yes, with the club, it's only the kids that are charged..but other sites can give flexibility over other key choices, like dogs, awnings, EHU, Hs/grass etc.....which obviously makes them attractive to folk who don't have these things....
all these 'extras' must be built in to club prices, perhaps it's because the 'typical' cc member has a dog or two, an awning, doesn't like grass, has to have EHU, that the club goes for a one size fits all price....
we use CCC from time to time (fitting in all these differing providers/locations is hard work) and usually go for a non awning pitch, on grass and no EHU in summer....
this is considerably cheaper than paying for the bits we don't need...

Giving customers choice is the ultimate way to go ----- BB's post is indicative of modern thinking regarding providing facilities or not, for Caravanners and Motorhomers.
Particularly with a motorhome, an electric hookup is not really required unless the customer is staying on site for about 4 days or more. More and more Motorhomes are having Solar Panels fitted as standard and the leisure battery is also being charged when the Motorhomer goes touring from the site. So why pay for an EHU when it's not required ?. Awnings are in the realm of Caravanners as motorhomers tend to favour roll out sun shades. Dogs are being charged for by many forward thinking campsite owners for obvious reasons
Will the CMC modernise like the other campsite owners and give their customers a proper choice, or remain an old fashioned "one size fits all" business.?.

F1 track, bit like a peri track with dispersal parking, public conveniences style facilities, nice and easy for the wardens to clean. Near identical service points, etc. You can be certain of a consistent middle of the road quality wherever you go. Nothing different, nothing unusual, nothing to worry about.
Is that not what makes them so attractive to the CC Ltd customers? Perhaps introducing difference and change would attract some new customers but it may also turn off some of the stalwarts and defenders of the faith .

Surely the adults are charged for as well. If only one, that's all you pay for. Most other sites charge for 2 or more, at a consequently higher price.

Is that not what a lot of folk like, me included. I personally hate companies that try and make something more price attractive, by having lots of optional extras.
