BEAUTIFUL CL

Stayed for 5 nights in early July. Very easy to locate a few 100 yards from the main road. Beautiful site and Richard and Julie are very friendly and helpful. TV reception not the best but the owners supplied a tv cable for plugging on to their system. A little road noise during the day but not much moves at night so not a problem. Plenty to do in the area and Hockeys Farm Shop nearby is very good. Nice local pub a short drive away overlooking one of the lakes there. Would not hesitate to return one day. Thank you Richard and Julie.

Spent a week beginning June, when weather was lovely, not too hot, which came later. Very easy to find even using satnav. Welcomed by Julie, second day, all details where we should be were on a board by the gate. Nice site , level, kept mowed, close to bus route. Only drawback when we went for walk, although Airviews site kept clear, along the walk we needed a machete ( we didn't have one) . But on the positive you are able to walk along the road, one way goes to Hockeys Farm shop, which also has a café, lovely. The other way towards Main road where the pub Old Beams is, nice staff.

Delightful CL

As newbies to Caravanning, this was our first stay on a CL and what a pleasant introduction. The site is very easy to find with 2 large tree trunks as markers. There is a security gate at the entrance. The site itself is beautifully maintained and the pitches are level and very spacious. The toilet and shower were spotless and again, very spacious. The position is lovely. There was a herd of wild deer in the field directly in front of us. Great dog walks directly from the site, beware though as some of the stiles have no dog access, so I had to lift my dog over, The owners are very helpful and friendly and clearly enjoy running a CL. They have provided lot's of information, including laminated maps of the local walks. This is a great location to explore the New Forest.

First class site

Only spent 2 nights here in May just to ensure the caravan was up and running so was not that bothered about what the site offered as it was only a short drive from home but what a mistake we found a well groomed site with a warm welcome from the owner, clean shower and toilet. We found that there were 4 pubs within walking distance 2 visited and the food in one was excellent and the other looked good. Biggest benefit for pensioners at least with our bus passes was one every 30 minutes bus service about 1/2 mile from site taking you to Ringwood, Bournemouth to the south and Salisbury to the north. The site is right on the edge of the New Forest and when we return, which we will do in September we will spend some time walking in the area. Recommended.

Perfect CL

We stayed on this lovely CL over Easter for 7 nights. It is perfect, beautifully looked after, loads of space, and fantastic walking from the site. There are plenty of pubs locally, all serving good food and stunning walks to them. Across the fields is a farm shop, selling everything you could want. There is a cafe as well which sells an amazing cup of coffee, we could also order our papers from there as well. We only met Richard while we were there, he was very welcoming and friendly. We loved the bird feeders dotted around the site. It all felt very secure with a coded gate to enter and leave. We cant wait to return......

Wonderful CL

Just returned from a four night stay here and enjoyed every minute of it.  This is probably the best CL we have stayed on.  The facilities are excellent, extremely spacious pitches which were immaculately kept.  We found Richard and Julie very welcoming and informative about the area.  If you love walking, it doesn't get much better than this with numerous walks direct from the site and our dogs are still exhausted now!  Several great pubs within walking distance and brilliant farm shop and cafe just up the road.  We will definitely be back and hope to stay here again in the near future.

Fantastic CL!

We have just returned from 10 nights at Airview and what a fabulous site this is. We were met on our arrival by Richard (although there is a board just through the gate telling you where and how to pitch your van). The pitches are very generous each with electric hook up and a tv aerial (we didn't use this as we got a picture fine with our aerial). The toilet and shower facilities were always spotlessly clean, and the chemical toilet emptying point was one of the cleanest we have ever seen! Even a sink with antibacterial soap to wash your hands in after! A short walk from the site and we were in the New Forest - walking alongside the horses and donkeys! There are numerous pubs within walking distance - we ate at The Old Beams and had a lovely meal. The Alice Lisle was also great for food and drinks and donkeys! (There are numerous donkeys who visit the car park daily.) The Royal Oak at North Gorley was also nice for a drink. We sampled a cream tea at Hockey's Farm which was nice. We went on the New Forest Bus Tour - the bus stop is at the end of the lane. This was a fantastic day out on the open top bus - there are three routes and you can hop on and off all day. It took a bit of planning and studying of the routes/bus timetables for us to decide where we wanted to visit - but it was a fantastic day out taking in the views of the New Forest and surrounding areas - well worth a try. We would certainly recommend Airview if you're after a quiet CL with excellent facilities. Richard & Julie are excellent hosts with a fantastic CL. If we return to the New Forest we would certainly stay here again!

STILL A GREAT SITE FOR US DOGS

This is the second time our owners have brought us here, it is in a great spot for us to get plenty of walks straight from the gate. Everyone on site either had dogs or were happy enough for us to be there so no one was whining about perfect tranquility. A bit further afield are some great places to walk and the bonus for us is a ride in the car through some beautiful scenery. Road noise from Mockbeggar Lane isn't even an issue. Richard and Julie are the best ever CL hosts. We hope to persuade our owners to bring us back here in the future. From Arri and Anna (two very happy dogs).
