We stayed at airview for 8 nights. A lovely site overlooking farmers field. Backs onto a road, a little busy at "commuter" times, but really didn't bother us at all. Site about 2.5 miles out of Ringwood and entrance is highlighted by two giant tree stumps , key pad entrance. Spotless showers and loo. Coin operated , leisurely shower 40p and for me to wash long hair 60p. Was a godsend in the torrential rain we had some days, saved all that fetching and carrying. Plenty of supermarkets and shops in Ringwood, highly recommend BTP cafe next to Waitrose. Nice walk about 20 mins to local farm shop, great meat and little cafe there. Turn left out of site and walk across cattle grid and as houses peter out turn right over tiny bridge and wow you are up on the heath and the world is your oyster! Red Shoot pub nearest, High Corner inn next one along, and a good hike is The Royal Oak at Fritham. When we were here there was a Hampshire art trail, open house was excellent. Also nice visit to Holmsley The Station House tea rooms and great walk along the disused railway track. The crowning glory is a seasonal track almost opposite the site into Blashford Nature reserve, I think it opens April to Sept (from memory). 7pm walk saw fallow deer, kingfishers, geese, ducks, swans and gulls and the most amazing sunsets. Magic. If you drive to the car park round the other side it is all gravelled and suitable for pushchairs and mobility scooters etc. Richard and Julie were very welcoming and seem to have created the sort of caravan site they would like to stay on and so did we, we are planning our next visit.
