Wow, fantastic CL in a wonderful area

We got a brilliant welcome from Steph and Nick at their beautiful and spotless CL - Barons Court. Nature is well catered for with Sheep, Goats and Chicken in their own enclosures on site and lots of Red Kites flying about. We visited most of the attractions in the area including, but not restricted to the Red Kite Feeding, which was amazing and well worth the money, and the small museum in Llandovery which is free and very interesting with a lot of local history. The CL pitches are hard standing (you will need rock pegs for an awning as the pitches are very hard) They all have electric hook up and a water tap. Waste and rubbish are all in one place with rubbish recycling being well signed and segregated. The shower and toilet block is spotless with 2 toilets (1 fitted with disabled facilities) 1 shower and a washing up area. There are some books, DVDs and information leaflets available. All in all we had a fantastic week - including a surprise visit from our son and daughter in law (a secret well kept by Steph and Nick), thanks both of you. We hope to return at some time, in the meantime this is very definitely a 5 star CL

Fantastic site

Been back home a few days after spending a week at Barons Cross. What a supper site, quiet peaceful and the access to it was easy. Shower block and toilets are spotless there's a recycling area, ehu and your own water tap. The owners Steph a Nick are very friendly and if you need anything they are there to help. We loved it so much we stayed an extra couple of nights. Will definitely be back and would recommend this site.

The best CL we have ever stayed on in 8 yrs - superb all round!

we are just back from spending 2 weeks with Nick & Steph at Barons Court CL. What a wonderful site! In the 8 yrs that we have been staying on CL's, we have to say, this is our preferred site as everything was just perfect! Prior to arrival, everything was very professionally handled and we received written confirmation of our booking with what was expected in terms of payment etc. Upon arrival we were greeted by Nick who showed us around the site - the goats, the sheep, the dog walk facility, the recycling and the shower / toilet block - which has heated towel rails and is clean, spacious and with nice hot water! Loads of reading material and walking books available too - as well as fresh eggs laid by their chickens on site. The site is so peaceful with wonderful views. Plenty or room between the 5 pitches with electric hook up and water direct to every pitch which we love. The site seemed to get pretty much 24 hours sunshine so it was lovely to be able to sit out after a long day of walking and enjoy the peacefulness, the scenery and the wonderful warm sunshine we were lucky to have! Nick and Steph are living their dream and are big animal lovers. They are very approachable, friendly and helpful without being "in your face" - the nicest owners we have ever met. The site is within easy walking distance to the village where there are 2 pubs that were open (one serviing food which we cannot rate highly enough - the Goose & Cuckoo. Ignore the 3 star hygiene rating on the window - the food is superb! Trust me, I am a fussy eater in as much as I like quality and hygiene and it really was the perfect little pub and so friendly too - both staff and locals - and dog friendly too so you can take your pooch into the bar area which is carpeted without issue providing it is on a lead), a butchers, a post office and newsagent and a grocery store - so the perfect little village with plenty on offer. All they need is a bakery or a tearoom and this would be the icing on the cake! Although we did see a coffee shop a little further out from the village but not sure if open as we did not go in. You can actually walk a circular walk to the village - along the river and through the fields and then back along the very quiet road (or vice versa) - the road being the shorter way (and drier underfoot if you are unlucky to have wet weather). We loved every bit about this village, the scenery, the site and its owners and would not hesitate to recommend this to others and we will definitely return if ever we are lucky enough to be in the vicinity again in the future. Many thanks Nick and Steph for providing such an idyllic site and giving us so much inspiration and such a wonderful relaxing and enjoyable holiday! We loved every minute!

Brilliant!

Stayed with Nick and Steph last week to 30 April. Our second visit and had a truly relaxing stay with great weather to boot! Facility block was as immaculate as on our last visit and Steph and Nick as friendly and helpful as ever. Found lots more to see in and around the area and will return to see more next time. Quiet and easy access makes this an ideal adults site.

Outstanding CL site

We had a lovely three night stay here at this little gem. Our hosts Nick and Steph were very attentive both in welcome and saying goodbye. We had an unexpected visit from one of our daughters and they could not have been more accommodating. Lovely fresh eggs at a good price and lots of interesting rare breed sheep to see as well as the goats. There is a lovely spotless toilet, shower and washing up block with hot water all inclusive which is an added bonus. Signal for telephone and data is good at the site. There is a scenic walk round the small town which is very pleasant and we took our electric bikes out for a scenic jaunt around the minor roads. Further afield by car there are a myriad of beautiful places to visit. We will be back to visit this site and it's lovely hosts

Fantastic CL site.

Where to start? Arrived on a Friday for a long weekend with our grandchild. We kind of new that check in was at 2pm but called Steph who gladly accepted our early arrival. On arrival, no sooner than I had unhitched the caravan, Nick greeted us and showed us around the site detailing everything including the locality, where to drink and eat if we went out. Our grandchild was very excited to be taken into the field where Nick introduced her to the pet sheep, goats and chickens. Toilets and shower block were immaculate and within the same building was the washing up area. Level pitches and gravel laid for all vehicle access. A great feel about the place and beautiful scenery all around. Would highly recommend this site to anyone wanting a relaxing time away and a friendly reception from Nick & Steph.

First time stay at a CL

This was our first stay at a CL having only used Club sites previously. What a gem of a site. Immaculate shower and toilet block and water and EHU to each pitch. The site is set on a small holding with sheep, goats, chickens and ducks but is still very dog friendly. Owners Steph and Nick are very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed and also provided information about the local area. The local village is a 10 minute walk along the Riverside or via the road (along a pavement). We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the site to anyone visiting this area.
