We booked and upon arrival, we extended our stay to 3.5 weeks! What a beautiful holiday we have had here at this quiet site, with constant views of roaming horses and a stunning scenic backdrop of Cornish history. Mrs Francis (the site owner) recommended some stunning locations to visit and indeed we were stunned by the beauty that we have seen. If you want tourist beaches or quiet quaint coves, history or just scenery, it's all in this neighbourhood. Climb a granite rock to see an old disused monastery, walk around a China Clay mine, visit the Eden Project, climb to the top of Roughtor and Brown Willy for panoramic highest views of Bodmin moor. Surf boarding on the N. Atlantic coast or enjoy the maritime history of Charlestown and Poldark filming locations. The fairy pools of St Cuthbert' s cave or the miles of soft sands at Padstow. A disused harbour at Pentewan has become a lovely venue for food and a drink. Bodmin Gaol (Jail) is an eye opener worth seeing. Mevagissy and its iconic harbour.
