Quite a let down

I visited this site in November 2012 and I was so disappointed in the state of this site. All the facilities mentioned do exist and work, though there is no mention of having to purchase tokens for a shower at 50 pence for each use. Not a big problem unless the site owner does not visit the site until the next day as happened in my case. The shower doubles with a toilet, with a shower curtain to cover the toilet and a gap at the bottom of the door to drain out the shower water, a piece of plastic pipe cut in half collects the water into an open drain by the side. I don't expect a CL site to be the same standard as a club site but the site does have an air of neglect about it. The owners house has an unsafe patio floor (full of weeds that has lifted the stones up) the hardstanding is bear and does seem to have maintained for sometime and the shed at the rear housing 2 dogs was in a state so disgusting that another camper staying at the same time contacted the RSPCA to attend. We both left the site the same day and went elsewhere to continue our travels. Considering that the site is right in the middle of the village so affording excellent access for members who are not so mobile the current state it is in makes me sadly unable to recommend it for a visit in its current state. A letter to the caravan club is on its way as I write this review.
