A wonderful location

A 2 night stay at a very well thought out site with far reaching views to St Abbs and the sea. An interesting coast to explore with cliffs, coves, lochs and many birds. We enjoyed a splendid 8.5 miles circular walk from the site to St Abbs Head in sunshine.

An Excellent CL

We have just had 5 nights over New Year at this very nice clean CL. It is spaciously laid out with plenty of space for manoeuvring without going off the hard standing areas. Lovely views across open countryside to the sea and no noise or interference from the farm whatsoever. Stall friendly and welcoming. This CL ‘ticks all the boxes’ of what I think a CL should be - including free WiFi.

Wrong place at the wrong time

We arrived at this site by mistake as it shares exactly the same post code as Gallows Law CL and the sat nav took us right to the entrance - so although it didn't seem to match the instructions in the hand book, we set up camp. Unfortunately it was well into the evening before the owner came and pointed out our mistake but said it was OK for us to stay so we paid the £20 fee - way more than the £12 we would have paid at the other site. The pitch backed on to the farm access and it was harvest time, so although I appreciate it is a working farm and there was work to do, we found it far too noisy. The owner was working the field right behind our van way into the night - so we had loud noise and bright lights shining into the van all evening and even after we had gone to bed. The views are lovely so maybe another time of year would be better however, we felt it was too expensive for a CL with no toilet or shower, the hard standing sloped, the hose on the chemical waste was about 3' too short, there was no provision for glass recycling although we were given directions to the nearest bottle bank and we told there was wifi and given a code - but the signal was too weak to get a connection.

A Lovely Up and Coming CL

This CL is a new addition, however it is easy to see that a lot of thought has gone on to set it up from the start. Each pitch is spacious and there is even a small run for the dogs. The view is a clear unobstructed view across the field and out to sea. The owner was very welcoming and informative and even allowed us to stay later then normal to watch the Rugby.

Excellent new CL

Found this with no issues. Pitches are wide and well spaced. Power, water and wastes are all to hand. Dog walk a useful touch. The open views are great. We cycled to St Abbs but it's a bit of a hill coming back! To walk via fields etc would take a good hour. Ideal base for walking, possibly better for a caravan with car as parking in St Abbs is very difficult with a motorhome. Walk or cycle are fine. Owner called for the fee very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful C.L. with amazing views!

We have just returned from a lovely two night stay at Bee Edge. It was a last minute decision to travel to the Boarders from Derbyshire, we rang on Saturday morning and arrived Saturday evening. The views are lovely, especially watching the harvest being brought in. The site is well laid out with large pitches, and all have the wonderful view. It is great to see that Bee Edge are investing in Solar power too. We will return and it will be great to see the site mature. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Relaxing break.

Enjoyed four days at Bee Edge this week. Site is well laid out with lovely views over the fields down to the sea and only minutes from the A1 makes for easy access. Coldingham, St Abbs and Eyemouth are pretty villages close to CL and well worth visiting. Given a warm and friendly welcome from both Al and his mum. Will definitely be returning for another visit.

Peaceful and Pretty

Lovely spot and while not on the coast has great views over farmland to the sea. The local hares and pheasants came to visit too. Easy access to the CL, which has good pitches which will improve as the hedging between them matures. Close to the pretty village of Coldingham and a short drive to St Abbs. Also convenient for the A1, so, all in all a good location, with good facilities and a warm welcome from the site owner. All exactly as described on the website. Would definitely use again.

Peace and tranquillity

This site has to be the best we have stayed at. We stayed 4 nights. If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet site this one is perfect. The views across the fields, just reaching the rooftops in Coldingham, and to the sea beyond is a wonderful sight. We received a very warm welcome from Al, happy to provide any assistance and local knowledge we required. The site is immaculate. Positioned slightly uphill enabling the gorgeous views. The hardstanding pitches are level with a grassed area on the side for the awning. It's a 20min stroll into the village of Coldingham and the bus stop which takes you to St Abbs/ Eyemouth/ Berwick. (part of the route to the village is unpaved but there is little traffic). The pretty village is interesting with a couple of lovely pubs and a butcher and mini supermarket. The streets are very narrow through the village. A great location for exploring this part of the Borders.
