A Peaceful Retreat

This was our first adults only CL and it was superb. Peter and Sandra are the perfect hosts. Izzy the dog is old but lovely and will come and see you every day. A beautiful lawn of a field. Peter showed us to our pitch. Waste water runs down pipes provided into the hedges. The location is in a quiet village. The Ship pub within a 5 minutes walk serves excellent food. A very friendly site. Easy reach to Filey, Scarborough and beyond.

We have returned!

This is our second stay with Sandra and Peter within the last two years, a warm welcome from the owners and thier dog Izzy. The grass is still well kept by Peter and although the weather was a trifle moist we still enjoyed visiting the local towns and had another nice week on thier CL. Our thanks to Sandra and Peter for another pleasant stay.

Immaculate CL near Filey

Small but immaculate CL in rear garden of owners house. Lawned grass kept very short and site surrounded on 3 sides by tall trees/hedges and on 4th side with views of rear of houses so no views. Toilet kept very clean. Downside - cost £17 per night including awning is a bit rich and no groundsheets at all allowed (including breathable) ... the grass was wet when we were there and really could have done with a dry floor in the awning.

Perfect C.L.

My wife and I stayed on this site and we can not speak to highly of it. Easy access to the spacious site and plenty of shops in Filey. We had a very nice stay, from the initial welcome from the owners to the time we departed. We have never stayed on a better kept site and we will most certainly return.

The Best!

This is the very best sort of Cl. The owners are welcoming, friendly and helpful. The site and the toilet facilities are immaculate - unbelievably there is a (clean) towel in the toilet! The site is quiet but close to Filey (3 miles) with a bus stop at the site entrance. Services go regularly north and south. cannot recommend it too highly.

Yorkshire at it's best.

In over 15 years of being a member of the caravan club we have visited many CL’s . Some of these have lived up to expectations some have fell short. However we can honestly say that the previous reviews of this CL certainly did not mislead us. From arrival to departure we felt that this was one of the friendliest sites that we have visited and combine that with location and the high standard of the CL you have got yourself an excellent base to explore the beautiful area of the Yorkshire coast. Located at the Southern end of the village it was both out-of-the-way and quiet yet only a stones thrown from local amenities and public transport, which provided access to both the Bridlington and Scarborough areas of the Yorkshire coast. The CL is located behind Blakey house secluded and sheltered which would only be known by members of the CC. The CL is relatively flat and levelling blocks are not required making pitching up a painless process. The grass is kept cut short with grass clippings collected on a regular basis; Peter also makes sure that the area is kept neat and tidy and by rotating his pitching areas ensures the quality of the pitches. And for that reason will not allow groundsheets which are no problem with such a well maintained site. All amenities are kept to an immaculate standard with recycling facilities available next to the WC which also has local info and travel guides should you require them. Chemical waste is all located neatly away from the pitches and does what it says on the tin. To sum up, this CL has contributed to one of our best holidays in recent years, a great location and superb costal scenery combined with weather that reminded us of summers past, we have no hesitation in awarding this CL top marks.

Will return

We liked this site very much, we were made very welcome when we arrived, the site is kept very nice, liked the way you can walk into village, and the option of using public transport, with a bus stop just out side site, all in all, would go back

SITE

My wife and i stayed at blakey house for the may day weekend. We had been to have alook at the site a few weeks earlier and were very impressed. When we arrived on the friday we were met by sandra who made us very welcome. The grass was very good and not to ruin it were asked to put the caravan on the pitch then put your car on the small car park a few yards away. Not far from filey and scarborough. Will definetly return to this site. Well done on a very nice site. From Tony and Sandra
