Loved It!

Just spent 12 wonderful days at Burn Farm. Mandy and Brian could not have been more helpful or welcoming. The directions to find the site were accurate and easy to follow. There is plenty of space on numbered pitches and although there are no views, we didn't care because it was so tranquil and quiet. No road noise ,just birdsong. There is an attractive wood along two sides and a high bank along the other, giving a secluded yet at the same time , an open feeling. The water and toilet-dump were good. In fact , the ease of using the cassette dump, far surpassed club sites. We were blessed with perfect weather, which helped but we will definitely return. Don't tell too many people about this site, we don't want to be crowded out. Thank you Mary for a wonderful C.L. Michael L

Warm welcome

Followed the directions and found the site without a problem. Mandy greeted us and explained where everything was situated. Unfortunately we arrived during the wettest September I can remember and although the site is partially hardstanding areas were very boggy especially the path to the chem disposal point. Venture ye not in this area without wellies. The surrounding villages are worth exploring if only for their architecture especially worth a look around is Stratton, it has a lovely church, as well as two pubs both selling food, the Kings Arms is the one used by the locals and is very friendly and welcoming the other one is up the hill in the village and is more of an upmarket restaurant but very quaint. One other building which must be visited is the ancient church of St Swithins at Launcells. For a completely different experience visit the newly opened livestock market on the outskirts of Holsworthy there's also a very good cafe attached. Would we stay at this site again, yes without reservation. Hopefully the path to chem point will have been resurfaced by then.

Comment from the Club

Thank you for your review and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. We just wanted to let you know that the path you mention has now been surfaced with stone so will no longer be a problem in wet weather. The CL owners hope to welcome you back soon.

Very nice, quiet CL

Mandy made us very welcome at her CL site last week. It is very quiet and well kept. we enjoyed visiting many spots in Cornwall, easily from the site such as Padstow, Bude, Port Isac etc

2 week stay

Nothing but praise for this good value for money CL. Owners Brian & Mandy keep the grass well tended, there is some hard standing. Lovely wooded area to walk through, plenty of different wildlife to spot. Fresh eggs & home made preserves available at very reasonable prices. All in all this is a great CL, we love the area & when we return we will certainly be booking up a pitch at Burn Farm, a credit to the owners.

Lovely

Nice clean site, half hard standing. 10 min drive to Bude and Widemouth bay. Recycle bins, wood walk, can be boggy but very nice. Dogs must be on lead at all times and please clean up after your dog. This poor owner is considering banning dogs as some people leave the dogs poop In situ.. shame on you.

Brilliant CL

Stayed here for 2 nights in July, you will not find a better welcome than that from Brian & Mandy. Access (tarmac drive) and directions from A39 were great. Grass was well maintained and short with some hardstandings. Location was quiet and peaceful with a lovely wooded dog walk on site. This Cl is to be highly recommended and at £10 per night (Dog £1 extra) is extremely good value. We will return. Motorhomer from Cleveland.

The Finns

A delightful site with plenty of space between pitches. Nicely manicured grass with no loose cutting to walk into your caravan. The Pollards were most helpful and cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. We recommend the farm eggs and free use of wifi. Ideal location for visiting Bude and the surrounding coastline.

Great CL

Very welcoming owners - great site and well maintained with well cut grass, easy access, good hard standing and grass pitches and quiet. Excellent value pitch fee.  Our ginger tom cat travels with us (as with the dogs he walks on a lead) and he rated Burn Farm 5* having thoroughly enjoyed his week.  We will return.

Good Location to Explore

A large site with good sized pitches. Some hard standing which is good as I think in very wet weather the ground come become very boggy. It's flat so wasn't an issue for us but if it rained a lot and you didn't have a 4x4 then the very far end would become a problem. There is a little road noise from the B road but it didn't bother us. Welcome was very warm and overall we would recommend. The access is via a concrete/tarmac drive with plenty of space. Telephone signal on Three was Ok, not strong, but good enough to get data through a hotspot.
