CL Site

Stayed this weekend. Although the weather was not brilliant the facilities on site made up for it. On tap water. Electrics that you could run Blackpool Aluminations on. Close to York. And the owners great and meet you. Great site and location. 5 star.

October 2016

A warm welcome from Karen as we arrived at this very easily accessed and peaceful CL. The information room is a lovely summerhouse with a comfortable settee and bistro set that is most inviting while browsing the plentiful information provided. There is a guest book with most comments saying they will return and we will definitely be back too. We can only think that the reason the comments here don't reflect the many glowing comments in the guest book is because people want to keep this little gem to themselves. There is a tap for each caravan, the field is spacious and flat and there are good views over fields. For anyone especially with a bus pass, this is a great place to be as the buses into York Bridlington and Hull are frequent and close by. We look forward to our return. Many thanks to Karen and Nick from Dawn and Steve.

Wonderful CL

We have just returned from our first visit to this CL, it certainly won't be our last. The site is well maintained and spacious. The warm friendly welcome and the well stocked information room were great. The site is easily accessed and there are some lovely walks around the village as well as an excellent pub which serves good competitively priced food, we can certainly recommend the carvery on Wednesdays.

Wonderful Site. Perfect for York

Just had three wonderful nights stay at this little site so close to the city of York. Karen welcomed us on arrival and as we were the only occupants for the first couple of nights we got to choose our pitch. All pitches were perfect so this was not a chore. The site is perfectly set out with water and waste points very easily accessible. The ground is level so no levelling blocks were required. Access in and out of the site is very easy. There is a little hut on site with lots of very useful information in it so if you visit take advantage. There are bus timetables too and as the local bus passed the end of the drive we used this method of transport to get into and out of York (fantastic if you have the a bus pass as you can get to York for free!). I would thoroughly recommend this site to anyone wanting to visit the area and we will most definitely be making a return visit sometime. Thank you Nick and Karen for a wonderful stay.

Very pleasant stay

Stayed for 6 nights over Easter. Welcomed by owner who couldn't have been nicer. Field and facilities tip top condition with nice view over open farm land. Plenty of space with easy access. Owner showed us the lambing shed and was happy to describe farm. Very pleasant village, every person we passed said good morning, shock to us townies. Only slight negative is some road noise but it wont stop us visiting again.
