Why stay here ...

Welcome to Burton Holme Farm.

We are a fourth generation family owned working farm est in the parish in 1895. We have sheep, cattle and arable crops, along side the farming we run a small DIY livery stable.

We do allow dogs here on the farm but they must be kept on a lead at all times please because of the livestock and any mess cleaned up, your co-operation with this will be much appreciated.

Barmby Moor is a quiet village with a public house where you will always get a friendly welcome from the proprietors Andy and John, we have a menu and opening times in a booklet for you to see.

We do also have a post office just down the road selling cards, gift wrapping and a few provisions.

We are on a regular bus route so why not leave your car here at our CL and take the bus into the historic city of York which is a wonderful walled city well worth a visit. Bus timetables are on the leaflets on the table.

Should you wish to go in the other direction on the A1079 there is also another regular bus which will take you to Hull famous for the Humber Bridge with lots of other attractions to keep you and your family amused.

Nearby you will find the market town of Pocklington with shops, banks, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, takeaways, leisure centre, Arts centre and Burnby Hall where there is a beautiful lake and gardens.

There is coarse fishing available within two miles and water sports at Lakeland Park within three miles.

There is a play park just down past the post office on the other side of the road for little ones to play.

We hope you enjoy your stay and we look forward to meeting you.

Superb site

Burton Holme Farm
This is the first time we've been to this site and we will be back, almost level, water pipes in the middle between two huge pitches, so if you have a hose you can fit it directly to the tap. Lovely views, friendly owners. What's not to like.

Great owners - flat site

Burton Holme Farm
Having arrived on the back of a breakdown truck, the owners couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The site is flat with EHU and water for each pitch. It is now £14 a night which includes EHU. Easy bus into York one way and Hull the other. Nice view over the fields with horses at the front - slight road noise, but not enough to disturb us - would stay again.

Birthday weekend break

Burton Holme Farm
A last minute getaway , lucky to get availability here. Level beautifully maintained site, all facilities as described. Easy access to many varied attractions. Very friendly hosts & eggs so fresh the ladies were still sitting on them! Many thanks, we will return.

Lovely site but

Burton Holme Farm
Great spacious site and lovely friendly owners. We hope to return. Just be aware that if you park on pitch 2 you will be able to hear any talking/music coming from the caravan parked on the other side of the hedge.
